For Sale AtAUCTION!

Wally Gil l iam Realty and Auction Concludes Huge Four

Day Estate Auction In Franklin Kentucky

Franklin, KY ~ It took four days of hard

auctioneering, spread over two weekends,

to complete an estate sale held recently in

Franklin, Kentucky.

This had to be the most amazing collec-

tions of...practically anything and every-

thing I have ever seen. Antique furniture,

antique toys, many still in the original

packaging. There were over 1200 dolls

available at this auction with most of these

in original boxes.

If you like glass and a large selection from

which to choose then this was the sale for

you. Glass of all variations; Fostoria,

Carnival (in nearly every color you could

want), Depression, Vaseline and more.

I was not able to attend all four days of

this enormous auction. On the day that I

visited, Wally Gilliam and the crew, as-

sisted in the bid calling by Robert Black-

ford, were selling the figurines, some

remaining glass pieces and toys. This in-

cluded my favorite, vintage toys.

It was fun and brought back a lot of happy

memories seeing some of the toys being

offered. Some from my childhood era,

some before. Seeing them again with the

original boxes they came in took me back

to the many happy times I spent crawling

around the floor watching in awe the as

the latest in wind up technology moved

these toys around as if they were real.

As some of you will remember, it did not

take much to keep us entertained.

Wally Gilliam

again demon-

definitely have

what it takes to

with a lot of

amounts of in-

See you at the Auction!

The 407-acre wooded site has a fortified

stone house with 18-inch thick walls and

guard towers. It will soon be auctioned,

opening at $2.6 million.

Capone — nicknamed “Scarface” — ran

a major smuggling, gambling and pros-

titution syndicate in the late 1920s and

early 1930s, during Prohibition, when

alcohol was banned.

He was the

mastermind

in 1929.

Seven of his rivals were gunned down

in a garage, but police never managed to

connect him to the crime.

Capone was eventually convicted of in-

come tax evasion and served part of an

11-year sentence at the infamous Alca-

traz prison. He died in 1947.

The scenic property for sale is in north-

ern Wisconsin and Capone owned it dur-

ing Prohibition. Shipments of

bootlegged alcohol were reportedly

flown in on planes that landed on the

property’s 37-acre (15-hectare) lake,

then taken to Chicago by truck.

National Liquidators, the largest boat and ship

recovery and remarketing company in the

U.S., will auction off three vessels previously

owned by Bernard Madoff on Tuesday, No-

vember 17, 2009 at 4:00 pm. The auction will

be held at National Liquidators’ headquarters,

1915 Southwest 21st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale,

and will include M/V “THE BULL,” a 55 foot

1969 Rybovich that has been meticulously re-

stored.

The United States Marshals Service seized the

vessels on April 1, 2009, immediately turning

the assets over to National Liquidators for

maintenance and disposal. National Liquida-

tors is conducting the auction as the exclusive

sales agent for the vessels as a part of the com-

pany’s contract with the U.S. Marshals Serv-

ice. The U.S. Marshals Service is responsible

for the management and disposition of

Bernard and Ruth Madoff’s assets, and for col-

lecting sales proceeds of the assets, which will

be used for victim restitution.

In addition to “THE BULL,” the auction will

include Madoff’s M/V SITTING BULL, a 38

foot, 2003 Shelter Island Runabout, LITTLE

BULL, a 23 foot, 2000 Maverick Boat Com-

pany 2400 Center Console and a 1999 Mer-

cedes Benz CLK 320 convertible with 12,827

miles. And a 2003 61 foot Viking convertible

previously owned by a former Madoff associ-

ate will be a part of the auction.

The auction also will feature three yachts of-

fered for sale that are unrelated to the Madoff

case: a 2008 Novatec 74 foot Euro Pilothouse,

a 2004 Uniesee 68 foot Sport Motor Yacht and

a 94 foot Devo Mill luxury yacht.

“We anticipate strong interest in the auction,”

according to Matt Amata, vice president of Na-

tional Liquidators. “We’ve heard from several

potential bidders, who are interested in both

the quality and notoriety of purchasing a ‘piece

of history’ in the Madoff and Madoff associ-

ate boats. We also have three additional won-

derful yachts in the auction that represent in-

credible opportunities to purchase a high-end

yacht in a truly unique setting.”

Bidders are required to pre-register for the live

auction, and may obtain registration informa-

tion at www.yachtauctions.com/madoff. At-

tendance at the auction will be restricted to

pre-registered bidders and invited guests.

National Liquidators is the largest vessel re-

covery, custody and remarketing company in

the U.S. The company provides services for

lenders, government agencies, marine dealers,

marine manufacturers, attorneys, insurance

companies as well as individual sellers. Na-

tional Liquidators is one of the nation’s largest

resellers of boats to retail and wholesale buy-

ers in the U.S. and around the world, main-

View on the rusty oldtimers parked in the forest, prior the vintage car auc-

tion in Kaufdorf near Bern, Switzerland. Hundreds of rusting vintage cars

parked at an auto graveyard in the Swiss village of Kaufdorf, south of Bern,

are to be auctioned off. The 'Autofriedhof Franz Messerli car cemetery' is a

vast metal jungle of more than 1,000 rusting vintage cars, including forgotten

British Wolseleys, 'sit up and beg' Ford Prefects, rotting Porsches and even

the wreck of a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. It must be the biggest graveyard of

its kind in Europe. But the authorities have now acquired a court order to

clear the car graveyard. 789 of the rusty relics are to be sold at auction.
