Amod G - 19 Extn. Lignite Mine has observed Cleanliness Drive with a caption of

“Swachhata Hi Seva” from 15th

September 2018 to 2nd

October 2018 in concurrence

with the Prime Minister’s appeal to the citizens to dedicate few hours of their own

towards cleanliness drive.

In the preceding year also, Amod G-19 Extn. Lignite Mine actively participated in

the cleanliness drive based on the theme launched by Government of India and as

such, a driving force has already been created in the mine area.

The mine management had received a letter 0n 12th

Sep’2018 from DGMS office,

Surat Region about Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign. Such an initiative from

regulatory authority reflects the seriousness and inclusive effort from almost all the

sectors regarding Clean India.

Mining is our core competency but as an organization we take part in every noble

cause whether it is awareness for conservation of environment or making work

premises clean. We as a family not only keep our premises clean but take the

community with us to aware them on health, sanitation and overall cleanliness

not as responsibility but an opportunity to help the local residents and contribute

ourselves in making the nation the dreamland to live in.

In line with the above facts, several activities have been performed in Amod G-19

Extn. Lignite Mine which furnished below:

1. Preparation of schedule

2. Street Play (Nukkad Natak) on inauguration function

3. Oath Taking ceremony

4. Awareness Programme

5. Cleanliness drive

6. Swachhata Briefing

7. A rally organised for awareness of people of nearby villages

India is still a developing country because of the poverty, lack of education,

lack of cleanliness and other social issues. We need to eliminate all the bad

reasons from the society causing obstruction in the growth and development

of our country.

Cleanliness drive is the best start of eliminating social issues from the society

as well as promoting the growth of country with its citizen’s individual

growth. Only the success of cleanliness campaign may bring a huge positive

change in India. It belongs to the internal and external growth and

development of everyone living in India which shows us the completeness of

slogan of “Clean, Happy and Healthy Citizens imparts Healthy and

Developed Nation”.
