The Westfalia Company
Setting standards – this has been Westfalia’s guiding principle for over 60 years. In 1951 Westfalia was the first company to convert a VW Bully into a motor home.
In the following six decades West-falia created legends in Wieden-brück such as the James Cook, the Sven Hedin, the Club Joker, the California Exclusiv, the Marco Poloand the Columbus. Although these vehicle were all quite different, they were all milestones in the de-velopment of motor homes – inno-vative solutions paired with perfect
craftsmanship and uncompromi-sing quality. This made Westfalia what it is today and defined our commitment to the future.
Pioneer and trendsetter
Innovation, design and quality – these three words have characterised Westfalia for more than 60 years. Thanks to these characteristics we have also become a reliable OEM partner for the automotive industry, be it Opel, VW, Ford or Mercedes.
Living
With more than 60 years of experi-ence, Westfalia is a real pioneer in motor home manufacturing. Wenot only bring these decades of experience to the development of new vehicles, but also the passionand enthusiasm of our employees can be felt and lived in each vehicle that leaves our factories in Wieden-brück in Westphalia. This is also true for the new Amundsen.
Once you enter the Amundsen you will immediately be struck by the inviting and bright interior designof this youngest addition to the Westfalia family. The materials and
colours used form a pleasing whole and give a lively and fresh appea-rance to the Amundsen interior. The white colour of the furnitureflaps, the low-key grey upholstery, and the silver and black highlights make for a contemporary andhigh-quality overall impression.
The double bench was developed exclusively for the Amundsen and includes two seats with safety belts. Its appeal lies in its very com-fortable and ergonomically shaped cushions. Turning the driver and passenger seats 180 degrees crea-tes a cosy sitting area, where up to

Sleeping
Westfalia motor homes will first delight you and secondly convince you. Experience the passion that goes into building our motor ho-mes every day you are on the road in one of our vehicles.
Just take a look at the sleeping area in the new Westfalia Amundsen. Depending on the floor plan, you can choose between a rear double bed and two single beds. In the Amundsen 600 D, the rear double bed transverse to the direction of travel provides a sleeping surface of 140 x 197 cm, while in the Amundsen 640 E the 75 x 200 cm
and 75 x 185 cm single beds invite you to have a rest. You can create a large 197 x 185 / 200 cm double bed simply by closing the gap between the two single beds with inserts.
The comfort zones in both bedroom styles are, of course, equipped with a well-thought-out spring system, so you can have a good night's sleep and enjoy the activities of the new day relaxed and well-rested.

Cooking
Love, good food and well-being belong together. Not only will you appreciate your new kitchen in the Amundsen, you’ll love it for just that reason.
Functionality matches innovative design – would be a good hea-ding for this area of the motor home. The powerful 2-burner-hob is linked to a generously sized counter top where you can prepare your food in the blink of an eye. The sink with its one-lever mixer is located under part of the counter top. The numerous easily accessible compartments offer just the right

Bathroom
The bathroom – just as all the other functional areas – has been completely redesigned. The result is a new standard when it comes to combining space, function and form. The full shower, the ap-pealing mirror cabinet, the wash-basin – all areas have been linked in such a way that you will be able to refresh comfortably and without feeling crowded. Many storage surfaces and hooks contribute to the bathroom’s tidy look – even after it has been used. The skylight not only admits sunlight but also serves to ventilate the air from the bathroom to the outside.
Refreshed – ready for a new dayIt is all these small details that make the difference. Only people who are enthusiastic about their product – like our employees – can make a product for enthusiastic customers like you. This is why we talk about the Westfalia class.

Technology
There is so much more to building a motor home than just stringing together different functional areas. It is the comprehensive solution that has to be convincing.
For this reason our engineers do not settle for simply using well-known solutions. In many cases it is about breaking new ground. Take the hea-ting system in the new Amundsen for example.
The new and powerful Truma 4 kW Combi hot air heating system makes its first appearance at Westfalia. It is important for this system to lay the
Innovative technologyair ducts in a sensible and reliable way. We could easily have placed the heating system in the rear or in the wardrobe like almost all our compe-titors. However, we are convinced that placing the heating system in the middle of the vehicle and underneath the bench is best as regards heating demand and noise control. This new Westfalia "Center of the Car" concept not only gave superior test results, but the manufacturer’s employees were also impressed by the new so-lution developed by Westfalia. Most importantly you – our customers – will benefit from this every day. This is ultimately what motivates us.
