Intrinsic Clues of Context ? “So ,

the last shall be first,

and the first last”

Begins with “So” (or “Thus”)

Means the principle or proverb is the resolution of earlier discourse

WHAT precedes 20:16?

Parable of those hired at different times of day

as those hired earlier in the day
