Photo-Voltaic Solar Energy System Installation Notes:
This plan gives site-specific installation details for a photovoltaic (solar electric) system to be installed at the above location. The solar
modules shall be 12-each Koycera model KD205GX-LP wired in series. This shall be a grid-tied system using an SMA SunnyBoy model4000 inverter. Manufacturer information may be viewed at the following links:

Wiring shall be as shown in Figure 03. All Contractor AC & DC wiring shall use 10 AWG copper (minimum). OEM wiring and harnesses,
regardless of wire size, are acceptable when applied to the OEM use intended such as PV-module to PV-module connections.

Special considerations:
• The PV modules will be installed as a ground-mount on the rack shown on this plan sheet.
• PV-modules produce electricity when exposed to sunlight. Keep covered with opaque material until all wiring is completed.
• Twisted (wire nut) connections are not permitted for DC wiring. Use OEM plug connector harness between PV modules. Terminate
in watertight junction or combiner boxes with screw terminals/busses at the electrical output end of the PV module strings
-multiple strings terminate in one box.
• Make solid mechanical connections to ensure electrical conductivity between all PV module enclosures and framing members with
no electrically isolated components, use #10 AWG bare copper with screwed connections for bonding jumpers as needed.
• Do not leave loose unsecured wires/harness between PV-modules, tie to the mounting rails or frame with UV resistant zip ties or
approved wire clips in neat, professional manner.
• Use approved means and methods per 2008 NEC
