MASTHEAD SAME COLOUR CODE AS FONTThis carries on the house colours of Kerrang, this would make it easier than to keep changing the colours and they would also be recognised as Kerrang when they are seen so would help sales.

MAIN IMAGEThe main image shows a Bring me the horizon member and shows that it is the main feature of the magazine as it takes up half of the page. It was also on the cover so again shows importance, it also shows the genre of the magazine that the heavy metal band is the main feature, so somebody interested in hip hop would not naturally buy this magazine. It would attract any fans of this band or of this certain genre of magazine however, he is covered in tattoos which again is linked to the genre of music as well as his long hair. Finally, he is signing autographs to show that the band is popular.

BANDSThere are a number of bands with their page numbers after it so that people reading can quickly go to the page of the band that interests them, it also shows the reader again what genre of magazine it is with a number of rock bands listed such as ‘AC/DC’

The use of Kanye shows the genre of the magazine (rap/hip-hop) and would attract any fans of this genre or artist to buy the magazine. It also shows him looking very smart and cool, showing his wealth and making him look quite serious, giving the magazine a sophisticated look. It is also in black and white, except from the flower that somebody is holding on his chest, making it stand out, and makes the image stand out without being too bold.

Having it spread out over different lines makes it more interesting than just having it in a single line, and makes the page more attractive. The writing is in a basic font, carrying on the sophisticated look of the page.

It is also in the same style of writing as the contents, which is basic and gives it a simplistic look.

SUBHEADINGSThe subheadings on the contents are all in script like writing, which is bolder than the rest of the writing to make it stand out, being in the font it is also carries on the sophisticated look of the page, creating a contrast between what you normally perceive of rap and hip hop which is more aggressive, to a calmer, more sophisticated look. It also highlights the main bits of the page for the reader.
