    Unfortunately, we have had to cancel next years P2 meeting because of the government restrictions surrounding group Hill visits and other gatherings of agency representatives. We can assure you however, we recognize the importance of our P2 tactical meetings and more information will follow by way of your section leadership, as well as from the Government relations Committee, as it relates to virtual meetings. Therefore P2 will happen, just virtually!

    JOE KONSCHNIK THEN REPORTS OUTOur Analyst Enrichment project, led by Zoe Grosser, launched it’s first webinar back in January which focused on Increasing productivity with Purge & Trap sample preparation for environmental testing. She also conducted a survey of our members during March –April to capture input on future webinars. NACLA has completed its transition into and is now going through implementation with the assistance and leadership of Doug Leonard, Steve Elliott and CMET members. Zoe Grosser has accepted the role of NACLA’s Evaluator Coordinator. The Cannabis Working Group has been working hard on several initiatives this year which included working with the GRC on submitting comments to the USDA for their Hemp Production Program Regulations along with the FSS. The CWG has also worked very hard on our CanNaLAP accreditation scheme document this year by adding documents to guide our consensus development process. The CanNaLAP scheme process as continued throughout this year with many hours invested by members to offer and review comments, then make revisions toward a final version. They have also sought input from the state of Colorado and are nearly finished with a final version which will be sent out to all states who are implementing a cannabis and/or hemp testing program in the near future.

    U.S. Senate:• Democrats’ prospects for taking control of the Senate were evaporating after several

    vulnerable Republican incumbents fended off well-financed Democratic challengers

    • The battle for the Senate closely mirrored the presidential race, ending up much closer than many pre-election polls and forecasts had indicated
