upAnvil is the essential partner for any company doing business overseas or in unfamiliar environments. Bringing the utmost level of expertise, smart technology and a commitment to deliver every time – when you work with Anvil you know you are in safe hands and can meet your obligations.

We empower you with the knowledge you need to act. We help you prepare for the future whatever it may bring. We protect your people and other assets wherever they are. And we provide you with the ability to respond effectively when you need to.

Our experience in doing just this and doing it well means you can leave it to Anvil to seamlessly ensure that risk analysis, interpretation and response becomes part of how you do business – enabling business as usual wherever you operate.

What is TRIS? TRIS is a highly evolved system for monitoring emerging threats and live incidents in real-time on a global scale that could impact the health, safety or security of personnel and other assets. Used by corporations worldwide as a definitive business resilience tool, our highly skilled teams of analysts operate 24/7, investigating a multitude of sources to identify relevant incidents and immediately report them to subscribers via a leading-edge alerting platform.

The digital map dashboard offers a multitude of data feeds and overlays, and can be configured further to incorporate external sources of pertinent risk information. The ability to personalize the dashboard, so it only displays information that’s crucial to your role, helps you instantly visualize the locality of emerging threats or live incidents in relation to your employees and other assets.

Dashboard data feeds and overlays:

■ Incidents ■ Travelers ■ Expats ■ Property assets ■ Country risk levels ■ Heat mapping ■ Custom external data feeds, such as

severe weather and crime statistics ■ System usage monitoring and

custom widgets

The use of effective search tools enables you to capture detailed information about those who could be impacted by an incident, so you can either contact affected individuals directly from the system or export and share the data with concerned colleagues.

TRIS also features a powerful analysis tool underpinned by risk data captured by our analysts over many years. Subscribers can use the information to understand current incident trends and compare

with historic data to identify risk patterns and consider future trends.

In addition, TRIS provides corporations and their employees with a consolidated resource of information for all countries and major cities around the world; focussing on facts that can be depended on to support business travelers in unfamiliar environments, and those responsible for their safety with preparing risk assessments – essential for compliance with duty of care obligations.

“It’s no good hearing about an incident hours after it has happened. We use TRIS as we appreciate the speed of reporting and concise alerts – it’s highly effective”

Chief Security Officer, Global Energy Company

TRIS is supported by a global team of risk analysts who operate 24/7 to identify and report on incidents and events that could impact employee safety or business continuity. In addition, the team is responsible for continually updating risk information stored in the TRIS database to ensure the content is always the very latest available from our wide range of risk data sources.

Our analysts monitor literally 1,000’s of sources to gather relevant information, including:

■ International, national and local media, news wires, social media and retained in-country sources

■ The World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and United Nations

■ Warnings and advisories from overseas embassies and consuls regarding security conditions for the countries in which they are operational

■ In-country police, law enforcement, military, security and intelligence services

■ Government and NGO organizations ■ Anvil’s network of global partners

and own employees located around the world

As well as reporting the established facts about an incident and providing general advice, our analysts will geocode

How does TRIS work?

the exact location of the incident with longitude and latitude coordinates, and assign a threat level numeric indicator, so subscribers can understand the potential impact of the incident.

Alerts are issued within 15 minutes of our analysts becoming aware of the incident and are sent via email as standard. Other communication methods can be adopted as specified by our clients through custom designed incident response procedures.

TRIS is beneficial to all departments within globally operating corporations who have a level of responsibility for ensuring employee safety and business continuity, including security, risk, travel, HR and insurance. It delivers a wealth of risk information consolidated into one central resource, which assists in understanding the current risk profile of every country and major city around the world.

In addition, TRIS allows for the compilation of risk assessments, security briefs and development of travel safety policies.

TRIS is operated through a secure and easy to use internet based portal, and utilizes innovative technology

and software that has been developed totally in-house by Anvil’s highly skilled IT developers and risk analysts.

The system can be linked to corporate intranets, so that employees in general can benefit from access to all or some of its features.

Who is TRIS designed for?

Having the right information at the right time is critical to protect the corporation and its employees from threats and incidents that could affect not only the health, safety and wellbeing of the workforce, but also business profitability, shareholder value and brand reputation.

What makes TRIS unique? The system’s uncluttered design and intuitive interface makes TRIS easy to use, but the major benefit of TRIS over competing systems is the ability to tailor and configure the platform to meet an organization’s unique requirements. As standard, an administrator of the system will be able to:

■ Upload information about additional cities or areas of specific interest to their organization

■ Adjust country and city/area risk levels according to the organization’s appetite to risk

■ Define high risk areas within a country ■ Edit sections of country and city/area content provided by Anvil ■ Add company specific advice in regard to travel or operations within

countries and cities/areas ■ Add their own unique data sources, such as contact details for

in-country security managers, lists of approved hotels and links to travel or insurance policy documents

■ Configure the dashboard to display a full screen global map view; ideal for security control room environments

Personal alerts

Nobody benefits from an inbox full of irrelevant emails, so TRIS allows users to create alert profiles that can be defined by exact geographic location, incident categories and threat levels of interest specific to their travel plans or business operations. Grouped under the six incident category headings of Crime, General Safety, Health, Security, Transportation and Other, there are currently 75 different incident categories to select from. Alerts can also be set to continue indefinitely or for a defined time period.

Fixed assets and supply chain

TRIS is exceptional in its approach to storing information and alerting organizations to threats and incidents that could impact physical assets, like office buildings and distribution centers, or other key infrastructure, such as supply chain routes. Subscribers can upload 1,000’s of assets and allocate them to groups and fields that can be fully customized to match the unique structure of the client organization.

Proximity Alerts

Proximity alerts are triggered when an incident is reported within a pre-set distance of an asset. As with personal alerts, users are able to define what

type of alerts they want to receive by geographic location, incident category and threat level. In addition, they can set up a profile to generate an alert according to the distance of the incident from the asset.

TRIS and the Employee Travel Monitoring System

TRIS can be fully integrated with Anvil’s traveler tracking solution, the Employee Travel Monitoring System (ETMS).

As soon as an incident is reported within TRIS, the systems will cross-correlate to determine the identity of any travelers that could be impacted by the incident and an alert will be sent automatically, either directly to the travelers or to those responsible for their safety.

ETMS recently won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of continuous innovation. The UK’s most prized business accolade was awarded to Anvil in recognition of the benefits the system provides to business travelers and their employers in regard to implementing effective risk management strategies.

Country and Area Information Pages

TRIS has a dedicated page of comprehensive risk management information for every country and major city around the world. Along with content provided by Anvil’s risk analysts, TRIS offers a myriad of relevant information to support international travel and operations.

Each country and city/area is assigned a risk level, so that users can quickly understand the risk profile of the location. In addition, users can view the latest trending incidents for the country and city/area of interest via a dynamic chart displayed on the page.

Country Level Data Sources ■ Country overview ■ Government travel warnings ■ Embassy warden messages ■ Foreign travel advice ■ Future dates of interest ■ Embassy database ■ Hospitals database ■ Airport database ■ Vaccination advice ■ Crime and safety reports ■ Airline safety scores ■ Cultural information ■ Natural disasters

City/Area Level Data Sources ■ City or area overview ■ Security overview ■ Orientation ■ Crime ■ Civil unrest ■ Seeking help ■ Port of entry ■ Transportation options
