• SOIL EROSION SEDIMENTATION CONTROL PERMIT (ONE COPY OF PERMIT ISSUED BY MACOMB COUNTY DRAINCOMMISSION 586-469-5327), IF APPLICABLE.
• MACOMB COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION APPROACH/CULVERT PERMIT (ONE COPY OF PERMIT ISSUED BYMACOMB ROAD COMMISSION 586-463-8671), IF APPLICABLE.

HVAC NOTICE: ADVANCE PREPARATION OF MECHANICAL DOCUMENTS IS RECOMMENDED IN ORDER

FOR ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION AND SUBSTANTIAL ADDITIONS/RENOVATIONS.
• IN ADDITION, HVAC DUCT DRAWINGS ARE REQUIRED. THESE DRAWINGS SHOULD BE NO LESS
THAN ONE QUARTER INCH (1/4") PER FOOT (1') SCALE AND SHOULD DEPICT ONLY DUCTWORK
IN THE FOREGROUND AND ROOM LAYOUTS (WALLS, STAIRS, WINDOWS, DOORS, ETc.), IN THE
BACKGROUND. DRAWINGS SUPERIMPOSED OVER ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS ARE NOT
ACCEPTABLE DUE TO THE CLUTIER CREATED THEREBY.
• WHOLE-HOUSE MECHANICAL VENTILATION WORKSHEET MUST BE ATIACHED TO HVAC PERMIT
APPLICATION (FORM IS ATIACHED TO THIS CHECKLIST).
ELECTRICAL PERMIT AND APPROVED UFER INSPECTION IS REQUIRED FOR FOUNDATION INSPECTION.
• MICHIGAN ELECTRICAL CODE 250.52(A)(3) REQUIRES THAT REINFORCING RODS OR BARS
LOCATED IN CONCRETE FOOTINGS ARE TO BE BONDED TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. AN
ELECTRICAL PERMIT MUST BE SECURED AND AN ELECTRICAL INSPECTION APPROVED PRIOR TO
THE PLACEMENT OF CONCRETE. (UFER = UNDERGROUND FOUNDATION ELECTRICAL ROD)
BACKFILL CERTIFICATE
• MUST SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO BACKFILL INSPECTION, A PRELIMINARY GRADE
CERTIFICATE, (USING ATIACHED TOWNSHIP BACKFILL CERTIFICATE FORM) INDICATING
SETBACKS AND GRADE OF CONSTRUCTION, AND THE FEMA FLOOD ZONE. MUST BE SIGNED
AND SEALED BY A REGISTERED STATE OF MICHIGAN LAND SURVEYOR.
TRUSS PLANS / ENGINEERED DOCUMENTATION TO BUILDING DEPARTMENT
• IE. MUST SUBMIT ENGINEER SIGNED AND SEALED TRUSS PLANS (OR ANY ENGINEERED
DOCUMENTATION) TO BUILDING DEPARTMENT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO
INSTALLATION AND ROUGH BUILDING INSPECTION. DO NOT LEAVE DOCUMENTS ON JOB SITE
FOR INSPECTOR.
FINAL GRADE AND AS-BUILT PLOT PLAN REQUIRED
• FOR ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION. FINAL GRADES AND SETBACKS ARE TO BE CONFIRMED BY
REGISTERED LAND SURVEYOR ON AS-BUILT FINAL GRADE SURVEY DOCUMENT. A FEMA
ELEVATION CERTIFICATE IS ALSO REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION, ADDITIONS, AND
SUBSTANTIAL REHABILITATIONS IN 100 YEAR FLOOD ZONES. MUST SUBMIT SURVEYS TO
BUILDING DEPARTMENT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO SCHEDULING INSPECTIONS.
