Applying Technology in the Classroom
Technology in lessons are important because it allows students to be more “interactive and allow[s] [them] to develop their curiosity, problem solving and independent thinking skills” (Kneas & Perry, n.d.).
Creates a more in depth and deeper understand of
the curriculum
Students become the active role instead of the passive role in the classroom
Use higher order levels of thinking in the curriculum
How to Apply Technology in a lesson
In the beginning of the lesson: Hook the students to get them engaged in learning
In the middle of the lesson: help students understand the material and apply it
After the lesson: use it as a tool for students to connect what they are learning to the real world
Technology helps Differentiate Instruction
