In order to have courses evaluated you must provide:

The original course description in the language of the school with source (i.e.: Calendar or website).

The year level at the host university. Translation of course descriptions. Identity of translator (i.e.: yourself, google, etc.). Credit weight of each course according to host

institution (i.e.: ECTS, units and credit points). Submit more courses for evaluation than the

number of courses you intend to register for. - Rule of thumb: double your credit value

Students are required to register in a full time course load as defined by Carleton University for academic and financial purposes.

One course at another University does not necessarily equal 0.5 Carleton credits.

The number of credits transferred depends on the number of credits completed.i.e.: 6 ECTS = 0.5 CU credits

Once you have confirmed your registration, a grade of CEX (current exchange) will appear on your audit and you will receive a confirmation email.

Successful credit (or pass) will appear as EXC on your audit and your Carleton University transcript (The grade is not transferred).

Failures DO transfer to your Carleton record and will appear on your official transcript as an F.

Transferred F’s will be calculated into your CGPA until the credit is replaced.

Your Registrar Specialist will notify you through My Carleton Connect email to confirm your transfer credits are on your Carleton record.

If transferred credits are not sitting where you feel they should be on your audit, please consult with your departmental advisor.
