TWAIN WEEKLY UPDATE April 1st - April 5th
SBAC Testing Grades 3-6 If your scholar is in grades 3-6 he/she will be taking the SBAC test this year. Below are some helpful tips you can follow to support your scholar during the testing window:
•Make sure you get your scholar to school on time•Students need to have a good breakfast in the morning•Please do not schedule any appointments during their testing week•Encourage your child to do his/her best•Make it a stress free and low activity week•Make sure they get plenty of sleep the night before

SBAC Parent Information Mtg. On Tuesday, April 2nd from 5:30-6”30PM in the MPR we will have a parent information meeting for the SBAC testing window. We will also review the California School Dashboard and Mark Twain’s success on the 2018 SBAC. Although testing is for 3rd - 6th grade students, parents from all grade levels are welcome. Book Fair The Book Fair will start Friday, April 5th, and run until Friday, April 12th. •We will be open after school each day for 30 minutes. •All students must be with an adult. •No backpacks allowed in the book fair. •Please sign in with book fair volunteer at the main gate.
On Friday the 12th we will be open from 6:30-7:30 PM during the Twain Dads' Movie event.

Both paren/guardian and Owner/Renter must be present to complete affidavit and provide the documents below along with Driver’s License.

Transitional Kindergarten
Transitional kindergarten is the first year of a two-year program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. Just like kindergarten, transitional kindergarten enrollment is voluntary. Traditional Kindergarten students date of birth must fall between September 2 and December 2, 2014
