Each member spent additional time on their own studying 8 sessions, completing the end-of-session evaluations and a final evaluation based on their position within the Heartland Board. Only 17 Nebraskan’s completed the coursework. Thank you for your commitment to our chapter. Ballots have been emailed to everyone for this year’s election of officers and board. Please vote by email, fax or mail between now and our April meeting. We need everyone’s support as a voting member of our chapter or as a candidate. Also please plan to attend our April Awards Luncheon. It promises to be a special day for NAIFA Heartland.

Wow! March Madness hits NE NAIFA! Legislative Day was jam packed with the

governor, state senators, advocacy speakers, being introduced on the floor

during a Legislative session and lots of NAIFA members. If you could not

attend mark your calendar for next year.

The State Forum followed with a ramped up schedule of events. There were

NAIFA members from across the nation, Insurance Industry CEO’s, MDRT

Speakers, The LIFE Foundation Chair, and High Powered Breakout Sessions.

The eight Nebraska Candidates for the US Senate provided their vision for

Nebraskan’s under their leadership if elected. Our own JJ Green took the

podium with a powerful endorsement of NAIFA, recognizing those that came

before us. You could not help but come away with money-making ideas picked

up from other members or even some of the vendors that gave away everything

from bottled water (a big hit) to fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies

along with their strategies for our success.

Finally, it was personally rewarding to walk among the long-time advocate

members like Terry Headley, our State Board Members and others I have

become acquainted with over the last 30 years. Their genuine passion for

NAIFA makes my buying decision easy every year when I renew my NAIFA

membership and increase my IFAPAC and NAIFA Foundation contributions!

I would like to recognize Patti Wissing for her role in organizing and represent-

ing NAIFA at the Adams County Health Fair. It’s a great event and, except for a

2 hour shift by Dan Yost and myself, Patti was there for two days. Thank you

Patti!

You should also know your Heartland board is working hard and attracting

national attention. 5 of your board members graduated from the 2013 National

Online Leadership Academy sponsored by NAIFA. Each member spent

additional time on their own studying 8 sessions, completing the end-of-session

evaluations and a final evaluation based on their position within the Heartland

Board. Only 17 Nebraskan’s completed the coursework. Thank you for your

commitment to our chapter.

Ballots have been emailed to everyone for this year’s election of officers and

board. Please vote by email, fax or mail between now and our April meeting.

We need everyone’s support as a voting member of our chapter or as a

candidate. Also please plan to attend our April Awards Luncheon. It promises

to be a special day for NAIFA Heartland.

Welcome to NAIFA's 2014 Congressional Conference!

In April, 2013, over 1,000 NAIFA members from every corner of the country came to Washington, DC and took to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers and advise them on how their decisions affect agents, brokers, and their clients.

On May 20th-21st, 2014, NAIFA will be holding its 2014 Congressional Conference with a similar goal - to establish and cultivate relationships with lawmakers, to share the expertise of NAIFA members, and educate them on the value of life insurance, annuities, retirement savings, and employee benefits for 75 million American families.

Please register today at: https://www.eiseverywhere.com/ereg/imis.php?eventid=72434

and join us in this important effort to educate lawmakers about the value of your business to your clients!
