The communications strategy focuses on generating and disseminating news of the Office’s publications and events, strengthening relationships with news outlets and developing our social media strategy.

Four Digital Campaigns observing International Days

The UNESCO Office in Mexico organized 4 high-impact digital campaigns with high-profile Mexican women,

artist, musicians, athletes, writers and other high-

profile Mexican figures.

The campaign organized by the UNESCO Office in Mexico on the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on 6 April 2016 consisted of a series of images of and phrases by leading Mexican athletes and was developed on social media networks from 1 to 6 April 2016.

• On 15 April 2016, in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, the first educational seminar, A Challenge for All, on Sustainable

Development was held.

• Elisa Gutiérrez, Specialist in Culture, participated in a Panel on the Global Action Programme for Education for

Sustainable Development, National Commitment and Earth Charter.

• On 22 April 2016, in Mérida, Yucatán, the Iberoamerican Congress on educational evaluation in Iberoamerica was held.

• Rosa Wolpert, National Education Officer, participated in a talk on the Post 2015 Education Agenda for Mexico.
