ACAO and WMO, ICAO, IATA and theLeague of Arab States successfullyorganized a workshop on "QualityManagement, Airport and AirNavigation Charges" in Rabat,Kingdom of Morocco, 26‐28 November2018,The aim was to provide participantswith the various requirements andrecommendations on the qualitysystem and the mechanism for costrecovery of air navigation with theexchange of best practices andexperiences with countries, Regionaland International Organizations andexperts in this field.The workshop was attended by 57participants from 11 countries as wellas 8 international and regionalOrganizations

Symposium
ACAO and ICAO organizedsuccessfully a Symposium on "TheAviation System Block Upgrade(ASBU)" in Marrakech, Kingdom ofMorocco, 10‐13 December 2018.The symposium aims to raiseawareness on the latest global airnavigation developments,including the outcome of the 13thAir Navigation Conference (AN‐Conf/13).
The Symposium was attended by123 Participants, 14 States, 9International Organizations, 6Industries and 2 Airlines

SAFETY OVERSIGHT WORKSHOP

An ACAO/ICAO Workshop onSafety Oversight for the ArabRegion was held in Casablanca,Morocco, from 11 to 13 March2019.The objectives of this Workshopwere to provide participants withupdated information on theUSOAP CMA tools andmethodologies, CMA OnlineFramework (OLF) and a means toshare experience related to theUSOAP‐CMAThis workshop, was attended by43 participants from 11 States, 4Internationals Organizations and2 Airlines.

ATFM Workshop
ACAO and ICAO organized jointly aworkshop on Air Traffic FlowManagement (ATFM) in Casablanca,Kingdom of Morocco, on 17 and 18March 2019.
The ATFM WS aims to “Identifyappropriate sub‐regional and/orregional collaborative solutionstowards a seamless and performedplanning and management of airspaceand airport operations and learningfrom the other regions experience”.
The WS was attended by 60participants from 12 countries as wellas 6 international and regionalorganizations and 3 industries.

ATFM project
The ACAO Hosted successfully ATFM TF/2 as well as FWC2022 TF/2 in Casablanca, Morocco, 19 – 20 March 2019.The aim of these two meetings was toprovide an opportunity to shareexperience and agree on the way forwardwith the implementation of a collaborativeATFM in the Region, and put in place anappropriate decisions that can supportFIFA World Cup 2022, which could not beachieved without collaboration, supportand contribution from all stakeholders.The meeting agreed mainly on an ActionPlan for the implementation of ATFM inthe MID Region as well as FWC2022Roadmap that should be developed toinclude procedures and an action plan toaddress the issues associated with theexpected increase of traffic during the FIFAWorld Cup 2022,The Meeting was attended by 43participants from ten (10) States and six(6) International Organizations

experience and best practices in joint events to further
enhance inter‐regional coordination/harmonization.
