III. MY ACTION PLAN

What do I want to contribute to NAWBO? Consider your goals and inherent strengths and talents. For example, if your desire is to gain exposure for your business or create friendships, consider scheduling one-on-one meetings outside of the monthly meetings, joining a committee or taking on a board position etc.

If you are a natural born planner, share your talent as a committee or board member while achieving your goal of gaining exposure and expanding your social circle. There are many ways you can contribute to the group while putting yourself in a position to gain as well. Write down your thoughts, potential strategies, and contributions.

III. MY ACTION PLAN

For example, if you’re shy, you may not feel comfortable asking a casual acquaintance for a one-on-one meeting. However, you could ask a member to introduce you, or to host a luncheon with the person you want to meet. You could exchange services to thank your friend for her efforts. List your potential obstacles and the strategies you will take to prevent them from becoming roadblocks.
