AlgoritmoDesign: Carlotta de Bevilacqua - Paola di Arianello
Algoritmo is a system defining a new way to produce light in space by means of an integrated and dynamic dialogue with architecture.Light acts as a construction instrument and an open system capable to create a variety of perceptive and functional identities in space.A very small extruded aluminium body ensures 5 lighting performances: ambient lighting, office lighting, surface lighting, orientation lighting and accentuation lighting. The system’s modularity allows multiple lighting configurations to be obtained without any interruptions or discontinuities between the floor, the wall, the ceiling, and the indoor space. Therefore lines and angles of continuous light can be managed on the same level or between perpendicular levels. Both types of sources – fluorescent (white light with different colour temperatures) and LED (RGB and white dynamic light) – create subtle and essential lines and make the Algoritmo system suitable for a variety of spaces: home, work, hospitality, retail andmuseum. The different installation options – surface recessed, surface mounted, suspended – ensure an endless choice of lighting solutions for all kinds of architectures.

Ambient lighting
Light distribution is soft and dense: it spreads through space and redefines it through subtle colour and quality variations, offering a broad perception scale opening up to emotional transformations and ambiances.

Office lighting
Light is appropriately controlled and calibrated through the dark light optics, and properly distributed across the horizontal surfaces, to ensure even lighting, without glares, on the work tops. Functional quality and comfort are the main characteristics.

Accentuation lighting
Algoritmo becomes an infrastructure that accommodates the set of PAD led projectors, ensuring appropriate and focused light distribution allowing to implement exhibiting spaces and their individual elements. Though being very small (85x170x16 mm thickness), PAD supports 12 very high efficiency LEDs, ensuring high-quality lighting thanks to different possible colour temperatures and to a variety of cones of light (spot – medium – flood) obtained with the interchangeable lenses supported by the diffusing frame.In addition to the version integrated with Algoritmo, PAD is available in 3 mounting versions: track mounted, surface mounted and semi-recessed. Algoritmo is also available in the integrated triphase track version.

Continuous and uninterrupted light is fully integrated into the 3 dimensions of architectural space: floor, wall, ceiling.Algoritmo becomes a means to highlight the architecture, create connections, to confine andfollow man’s pace, support perception and orientation. The LED light offers countless independent colour options in the individual modules.
