Junior Dance Camps (Ages: 4 - 7) Price: $200 ($175 if you register before June 1, 2012) June 11 - June 16, 2012 Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Youth Dance Camp (Ages: 8 - 12) Price: $300 ($225 if you register before June 1, 2012) June 11 - June 23, 2012 Monday-Friday, 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. & Saturday June 23, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Our littlest students will experience a week of summer fun through the joy of dance. While playing creative games and exploring the way their bodies move, they will be introduced to fundamental movement concepts. Students will showcase the highlights of their week in a performance on Saturday, June 16th at Noon. Step into the world of dance for two weeks of fun! Each day, students will train as a professional dancer would in the fundamentals of ballet and modern dance and also explore their creativity through choreography and improvisation. In addition, dancers will have the opportunity to try out other dance genres throughout the two weeks with special classes such as jazz, hip-hop, and/or world dance forms. Students will showcase the highlights of their work in a performance on Saturday, June 23rd at Noon. From classical piano, to jazz or rock and roll, classes and individual instrument lessons examine all aspects of music. In the ArtsPrep Theatre Academy students can explore the exciting world of the theatre through courses taught by top artists in the industry guiding students to experience the joy of live performance. Summer with the Jazz Masters (Ages: 12 - 18) Price: $300 ($225 if you register before June 1, 2012) July 11-July 20, 2012 Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Spend part of the summer with Jazz Masters. Keep your chops up this summer by enrolling in an eight-day session at Tri-C’s Center for the Creative Arts. Directed by Steve Enos, Summer with the Jazz Masters includes theory and improvisation, combos, big band, listening sessions and concerts. A limited number of scholarships are available. Former Participating Artists include: Dominick Farinacci, trumpet; Roger Humphries, drums; Kris Bowers, piano; and Ernie Krivda, tenor saxophone. Shakespeare scenes with backstage drama, dancing, music, stage combat, and a “murder” too! Campers write the ending of this very funny whodunit. Beginner or experienced performers will love this!
