Arvin Alumni Association Newsletter The 17 th annual Arvin High Alumni/Frank Barle Memorial Golf Tournament was held on Saturday October 28, 2017 at the Kern River Golf Course. Thanks to all participants and Alumni Gear sold at home football games, we were able to raise enough money for 35 deserving seniors (page 3) this past April. The 18 th annual Arvin High Alumni/Frank Barle Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the Kern River Golf Course. All proceeds as per usual will go to the Arvin High Alumni Association for the continued support of student scholarships and academic activities. The prizes will be given using a Peoria scoring system. In this Newsletter you will find the Golf Tournament flier which needs to be mailed to Jon Rose by OCTOBER 21 st . We are also excited to announce that participants can now register online by going to arvinalumni.com Please direct any questions regarding the golf tournament, website, or registration form to Jon Rose at 661-532-8391 We look forward to seeing you all there. The Arvin Alumni Association will be having new shirts and sweaters

with the Arvin Alumni logo printed on them. You will be

able to buy these items along with our men and women size polos, caps,

blankets, and sweatshirts at any home football game this

school year as well as at our annual golf tournament. We finally went digital and

now accept Visa and Mastercard as well as

checks and cash for any purchases made from our booth. Don’t forget to stop

by during the home games!!

Memorials Gone but not forgotten. Once again, we are sorry to report the

passing of former Arvin High classmates and teachers.

Class of 2018 Scholarship Donors & Recipients

❖ Thanks to the generous donations of Arvin High School Alumni, their families and various community members, the Arvin High Alumni Association was able to award 35 scholarships to 35 deserving Arvin High seniors on Senior Night. The scholarships were awarded based on GPA, grades and financial need. The amount that was awarded to each student varied from $500-$1,000. Thank you to everyone who purchased our gear and those who participated in our 17th Annual Golf Tournament.

The purpose of this association is to provide monetary support for several programs and

activities at Arvin High School including scholarships, academic program support, fine

arts, agriculture, technical programs, student activities, and athletics.

Any student ever attending Arvin High School, any staff member of Arvin High School, or

any member of the community are eligible for membership.
