I thought about my target audience due to I thought what music will I listen to and I thought that young people’s listen to hip hop in my environment , also I wanted it to appeal to all teenagers and young adults due to it relates to a hectic teenagers lifestyle (16-25 years , to inner city schools, colleges and young adults starting the working lifestyle).

In addition, my target audience was the general public aswell because I needed to use a song that related to everyone that’s going through relationship problems. The choice of song could appeal to everyone and this could help my fan base increase.I thought by having a broader target audience I

could get more people relating to DEEDEE music feel her pain, struggle and sorrows!

We researched Beyoncé Like a Boy to relate to our main project because it portrays the on going stress and sadness that relationships bring to people and how it effects there life dramatically!

We learned how to straight cut an image to explain another part of the story… then bring it back to continue with the story so the audience can understand the message we are trying to convey and see and understand the whole concept of our song.

We done a questionnaire around the college and we asked them why do teenagers and young adults relationship never last, and the majority of females said it’s the boys fault and its because they cheat on the girl and they do not stay faithful!One girl even said ‘Relationships are a WASTE’

Therefore, as a group we chose to base our theme of our song (OVER MY DEAD BODY) on relationships !

As a group we have received a lot of comments about our main task and generally it was a good feedback.

On the contrary, students admired how we put together the scenes in the right places. Also how we first put the good parts first; when the girl is remembering when everything was good then suddenly how everything altered. In a flash when she saw her boyfriend doing the unthinkable!

I HAVE LEARNED HOW TO USE THE BRUSH EFFECTIVELY IN PHOTOSHOP TO MAKE THE IMAGES FIT WELL WITH THE BACKGROUND AS YOU CAN SEE IN MY ANCILLARY.

IN ADDITION, I HAVE ALSO LEARNED ON PHOTOSHOP HOW TO DUPLICATE THE SAME IMAGE AND TURN IT AROUND 90 DEGREES!

THIS IS MY POSTER PROMOTING THE SONG WE CHOSE AS A GROUP (OVER MY DEAD BODY). THIS APPEALS TO OUR TARGET AUDIENCE WHICH IS 16- 25 YEARS OLDS BECAUSE DEEDEE IS THE NEW UPCOMING TALENTED ARTIST! SHE IS TELLING THE AUDIENCE HER EXPERIENCES AND THE PAIN SHE’S BEEN THROUGH... SHE ‘S INFORMING THE AUDIENCE ABOUT HER MISTAKES AND HOW THEY CAN LEARN FROM THEM – IN OVER MY DEAD BODY.

My main task is a sentimental rap song created by a female rap artist called DEEDEE , both tasks genre is on rap and represent this in numerous of ways. Both my ancillary and main task relate to the ‘male gaze’ in many ways, aswell as males may find female rap artists attractive. Some of what the artists lyrics say may also attract males, because they might have been through this experience aswell.

From my audience feedback I learned that I should of used a more friendly image on my cover, although some agreed with that opinion others say that the image suited the genre of the CD because its too sad to be a poster. All of my target audience agreed that the colour scheme of plain dull colours worked well and connected with the main theme of the song in a way as it showed the dark side of how the artist may be feeling and going through.

I chose to explore the different types of music booklet that are normally displayed on the street and how they differ from one another. I found that artists CD Booklet tend to have the same image or theme as there poster. When I produced my own product I wanted it to be realistic. I wanted it to look professional as possible so I used the same themes as my poster so they can be linked.

Although I had many ideas as to what I wanted my ancillary task to look like I decided from quite early on in the project that I wanted it to be a sad sentimental cover . However, my researched showed that it is rare for an artist to have a cover that reflects just one song on the single. Nevertheless, I didn't want to send mix messages so I stuck with one theme melancholy and depression.

My main task is a sentimental rap song created by a talented upcoming female rap artist called DEEDEE, both tasks are based on rap and represent this in many ways. In my opinion all of my tasks follows the typical conventions of the cultural rap theme where pain is portrayed.

On my ancillary task 2 I got a lot of feedback some good, some bad; however, generally the audience members gave mixed opinions on my ancillary task. Negatively, some people felt it was too sad and did not make them happy only sad.

We made a variety of changes in the main task: the scenes in particular we chose to change the colouring from the original to both black and white, and sepia to portray sadness and pain. This was to separate the difference in the scenes so that it is clearer for the audience to identify the alteration.

We also changed the sound scope of the ending of the video because it just cut out as soon as it finished, instead it slowly fades out along with the video

I was pleased with what I had produced in my first draft. Also my audience feedback was good and felt there shouldn't be no changes. Minority of the feedback said they did not like the images because it was too dull; however, I disagreed because it went well with my theme and it made my poster look good.

My tasks were all effective as a combination because each task promotes each other( all has the same theme and conveys the same message).

My main task helps to advertise the artist and creates entertainment for the audience, aswell as enlightens the audience on everyday life and the situations couples go through.

The poster and the CD booklet helps to promote the artist and her work. All my products represent the target audience because they all tell stories and is based on relationships and everyday life – for instance: the male cheating on his girlfriend!
