18. ALTERNATIVE LEARNING ACTIVITY (ALA) ALA is only assigned to
students when instructors are absent or not in the scheduled
learning session. Instructors absences can be caused by a scheduled
training, academic appointments, meetings or even approved vacation
leaves. ALA must include the topic cited in the syllabus for the
week schedule. The plan for the conduct of ALA must be submitted at
least one (1) day in advance and approved by the Dean or Program
Chair for implementation. Announcement of its conduct must be done
to properly inform students concerned. Output of ALA must be
submitted when the instructor reports to the class. A maximum of
four (4) ALA is permissible in a semester.
19. MAKE-UP CLASSES Description of Make-Up Classes This is a
conduct of classes in lieu of the missed class/es during the
absence of the instructor due to emergency cases. Details to
Observe in the Utilization of Make-Up Classes The instructor
planning to have a make-up class must fill out make-up classes form
and submit it in advance to the office of the Dean/Program Chair
before its implementation. All students concerned must be properly
notified of the planned make-up class, in writing and with
signatures of students. Letters a and b are prerequisite to the
approval of the intended make-up class.
