a group of children that have been possessed, cursed, or are generally abnormal.Makeup and Special effects are often used

to make the characters more scary.

CONVENTIONSIn most films, the story is set in a place that’s either isolated, rural, dark or scary in any way,

although also being mundane and realistic.

CONVENTIONS

• The theme of the supernatural, which helps make the kids even creepier.

• A linear narrative structure which doesn’t include many flashbacks.

• A usually predictable plot, where the child starts off as an innocent kid and then turns.
