9. CENTRAL FURLING LINETie securely the central line onto the luff rope (previously taped position) in themiddle or slightly higher according to the asymmetric Spinnaker shoulder.Secure the central line knot with auto-vulcanising tape. See tip below.

10. FIXING THE TERMINAL ONTO THE MECANISM : Adjust the nylon ring rep E inside the terminal(fig.1). Screw the terminal onto the mechanism until it touches the black plastic ring, make sure holes are ali-gned (fig.2). Slide the crossing pin rep F inside the aligned holes (fig.3), then secure the pin with the delive-red split pin rep F’ (fig 4), bent the legs of the split pin until to form an angle as shown (fig 5).

8. CONNEXION OF THE LUFF ROPE ONTO MECHANISM TERMINALSFollow the steps below. Slide in order: shrinkable sleeves (x2), terminal, cap, split cone.Before the step 15, check on board the pre-fitting by screwing the terminals onto the mechanisms (chap10) and tightening the halyard in order to perfectly settle the cone/luff rope/mechanism assembly.

In order to reduce the number ofturns of the central line, you can fitround the central line taped knot along1 to 3 meters (depending on AFX models)either a thick flexible sleeve (not included)or tie knots settled with shrinkable sleeves.

11 : ORIENTATE THE FURLING GUIDE AND SPOTFit temporarily the bottom attachment on the chain plate.Spot how the furling guide needs to be orientated to enable correct furling inand out.

2 : MARKMark underneath the guide in which holes you will screw.

3 : PREPARE THE FURLING LINE GUIDERemove grease with an appropriate product from the thread ofthe screws and from the holes. Put a few drops of supplied glueround the thread of each provided screws.

4 : FIX THE FURLING GUIDEIntroduce the 4 screws into the previously marked holes and quickly tighten.Remove any residual glue.
