A relaxing 1 ¼ hour cruise (each way) on Tuesday 12th September 2012,  Coach and River Trip is only £23.00, Coach leaves at 9.15am   A relaxing cruise between Upton‐on‐Severn and Tewksbury on board MV Conway Castle,  Largest Vessel on the River Severn. Board at Upton at 11am Arrive Tewkes‐bury 12.15pm  me for lunch, visit market or 12th Century Abbey.  Leave Tewkesbury at 2.45pm for the return cruise.

Mental Health Carers Group 1st Wednesday of the month 6.30pm to 8.30pm 

If you are a carer, or a member of your family is affected by Mental illness, come along to the support group where you can meet other people in the same situa on as yourself.  This is an informal group where you can talk about your experiences, get advice and feel supported. The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 6.30 to 8.30pm. At Upper Horfield Community Trust you can just turn up or phone Mo on 07584167612 for more informa on.

Youth Café @ Eden Grove Coming soon 

Upper Horfield Community trust is opening a new drop in session for ages 11+ to come to a safe environment to chat with friends, have a drink, something to eat or chat to our Youth Workers about any problems you may have.  This will be a free drop in session (Food & drink are charged at a small price).

Physiotherapy   

A service for all community residents. Assessment and treatment for all of the following condi ons:   Disability   Neurological Condi ons: Stroke, Mul ple Sclerosis, Spinal and Head Injuries;      Parkinson’s Disease and others   Back pain   Work related injury    Sports Injuries and performance enhancement assessment   Assistance and guidance for carers of those with disability  Individualised assessments take approximately 45 minutes. Treatments are then tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Treatments include massage and other manual techniques; electrotherapy; rehabilita on exercise; postural improvement; walking re‐educa on; strengthening; advice and guidance on equipment.    Carers or family members are encouraged to a end. Home visits are possible and o en more beneficial.  Prices are lower than the private average and addi onal discount is given to members of Upper Horfield Community Trust.    Rob Jones BSc, MCSP, MAACP                          07870 107 932          Chartered Physiotherapist        (Tuesday 5.30pm‐8.30pm at UHCT)    

I am a Chartered Senior Physiotherapist currently  working in South Wales for the NHS.  I qualified at the University of No ngham in 2004  with a BSc (Honours) in Physiotherapy.  I have worked in Bristol, North Somerset PCT,  Weston Area Health Trust and Gwent Health Board.   My clinical specialism is in Neuro‐musculoskeletal condi ons. As a member of the Upper Horfield Community, I have  wanted to help out in the local area for some  me. I want to improve the therapy services available to residents in our area. 

 My aim is to provide a high quality of Physiotherapy treatment to people who need help managing 

their long‐term condi ons, recovering from accident or ill health, or resolving their injuries, aches and pains. I believe that exercise and a healthy lifestyle are vital in the recovery from neuro‐

musculoskeletal problems and I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be physically ac ve in their local community. This is what underpins all of my treatment and I ensure that I assist all 

of my clients to do this to whatever capacity they are able.
