O dear! O dear! Don’t be too late!

What is “a hopper of ditches, a cutter of corn, a little brown cow without any horns”? As we near Easter

towards the end of March we are going to celebrate all things Rabbit at our first Readers’ Evening of the

year.

At Elma Turner Library, 6.15pm on Thursday 26 March, we will be learning about Rabbit Island from Tasman District Council, learning about the critters themselves from the staff of Natureland and we will

be reading rabbit folktales and carrying out other

bunny-related activities.

The evening will be suitable for all ages, and there will

be separate children’s activities for part of it.

We will have a rabbit–related reading list – how many

rabbit-related books can you think of? How many

famous literary rabbits?

Did you know a female rabbit is a doe and a male a

buck – and that young rabbits are called kittens?!

Why not hop along on the 26th and learn more

rabbitty things? Appropriate light refreshments will

be served.
