RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Registration forms have been mailed out for the 2017-2018 Religious Education Program! If you did not receive one, or if you have a student entering first grade, forms will be available in the back of Church. Nativity Religious Education is in need of Catechists and Aides for our 2017-2018 school year. TRAVEL SIZE TOILETRIES FOR APPALACHIA
If you are travelling this summer and don’t use the toiletries that hotels provide, please bring them back and we will put them to good use. Starting July 1st and during the summer months we will be collecting travel size toiletries for holiday boxes for people in Appalachia. There will be a box in the hallway between the cafeteria and church to put the items in. Because these toiletries will be packed in shoe boxes, we can ONLY use travel size items. Also, we are not able to accept any hospital toiletries. THANK YOU in advance for helping
the less fortunate.
BUNDLES FOR BABIES In the Church Evangelizing Bishop Zubik calls us to share Christ's Love with others. To this end, our Ladies of Charity will be collecting NEW children's
books for teen moms at Jefferson Hospital. We will collect NEW children's books for moms to read to their babies along with NEW bibs which are not gender specific (can be for a boy or girl). Please drop your donation in the box in the back of Church. This will be an ongoing collection throughout the year.
FRIENDS OF NATIVITY AND ALUMNI LUNCHEON
We are having a Luncheon for Parishioners and Nativity School Alumni on Sunday, September 10 following the Noon Mass. The Luncheon will include a buffet from Salvatore’s, entertainment, a gift basket auction and tours of the school. The cost is $5 per person. WOMEN’S RETREAT The Nativity Parish Women’s Retreat will be held Friday-September 29 through Sunday, October 1 at St. Paul’s Retreat House on the South Side of Pittsburgh. The weekend will consist of group conferences, prayer opportunities, Liturgy and quiet time. There will be time to enjoy each others company throughout the weekend and during meals.
