MARLINS: The Braves and Marlins play the second game of a three-game series tonight and play the 14th of 19 meetings between the two clubs this season...Atlanta leads the season series, 9-4, including a 5-1 mark at Turner Field....The two clubs will meet for a four-game series in Miami, September 22-25. This marks Miami’s final series at Turner Field, where the Braves hold a 106-66 advantage since the park opened in 1997. Atlanta has just 18 games remaining on its 2016 slate, and plays 11 of those contests at Turner Field. Atlanta has won two of its last three games, but has lost five of its last seven after posting a six-game winning streak from August 30-Sept. 4. WILD NIGHT: Atlanta posted a 12-7 win last night, after leading 7-0 in the third inning, being tied 7-7 in the sixth frame and then scoring the last five runs of the game...The Braves scored in six of their eight at-bats. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Braves have had only one other win in Atlanta in which they gave up a lead of seven or more runs...That came against Pittsburgh on June 8, 1969, in an 11-10 win, as Hank Aaron hit a game-winning homer in the bottom of the eighth inning. Last night’s 12-run output was Atlanta’s largest run total at home since April 28, 2015 (vs. WSH)...It marked the 12th time in franchise history that the Braves scored 12-or-more runs against Miami, the last being a 12-2 victory at Miami on April 7, 2015 (after scoring seven runs in the first inning). FOLTY & SWANSON EXIT WITH INJURIES: RHP Mike Foltynewicz left last night’s start in the fourth inning due to a left calf contusion...SS Dansby Swanson left the game game due to a right groin contusion. KEMP’S IMPACT: OF Matt Kemp went 3-for-5 5 with two runs scored last night...In 39 games with Atlanta, Kemp has hit .282 with seven home runs and 28 RBI…Four of those homers (including the last three) have either tied the game or given Atlanta a lead. Since Kemp joined the lineup on August 2, the Braves have scored 203 runs (5.2 per game) and have hit .278 as a team...Their runs total ranks third in the majors in that stretch, while their team batting average ranks fifth in MLB.
