|||| WATER & WASTEWATER Bureau Veritas’ Water & Wastewater practice group provides analytical testing to support drinking water regulations and helps our customers manage municipal and industrial wastewater to meet compliance approvals and standards. We are strategically located in all urban centers across Canada and provide a comprehensive service offering to meet the needs of this sector. Our scope of services are the broadest in the industry from routine microbiology and general chemistry to emerging contaminants such as haloacetic acids and complex organic compounds.

SAFE DRINKING WATER MONITORING

Each province regulates drinking water with specific legislation that may prescribe laboratory methods, sampling procedures and processes related to communication of exceedences and management of data. With over 40 years in the industry, Bureau Veritas participates in government technical advisory groups to help develop these emerging protocols to incorporate the latest in science to protect human health and the natural environment. All of our laboratory methods for drinking water are accredited under ISO 17025 and meet regional regulatory requirements. MUNICIPAL & INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER On a federal level under CCME regulations, municipalities are required to monitor their wastewater discharge to minimize the impact to the receiving environment. We work with small municipalities, as well as some of the largest municipalities in Canada to help manage their wastewater streams through comprehensive testing programs including ecotoxicology services, nutrients, metals, and microbiology. Our data allows customers to monitor and adjust their treatment to optimal levels to meet discharge standards and minimize cost.

Bureau Veritas offers freshwater acute toxicity tests for effluent discharge monitoring in ecosystems including Daphnia magna and rainbow trout testing. TURNAROUND TIME


|||| TURNAROUND TIME The majority of analytical tests are reported within 5-10 business days from the date of receipt at the testing facility. The unit rates provided in this fee schedule are based on a regular TAT. An accelerated TAT is available depending on availability and the complexity of the analytical method. Rush turnaround time is not guaranteed unless prior notice is provided to the laboratory. The surcharge for an accelerated TAT is detailed below.

NOTE: * Sameday reporting is generally by end of day, but is dependent on matrix and concentration challenges.

Saturday, Sunday and holidays, are not considered working days. Advance notice, particularly with same day TAT is required to guarantee TAT. Parameters are intended for routine soil and water matrices. For other matrices, please contact your project manager.

|||| SAMPLE COLLECTION KITS Bureau Veritas provides all the required containers for your analytical testing program to ensure samples are collected in clean, sterile (for micro) containers. Our containers and preservatives are batch-proofed with traceable lot numbers to ensure quality assurance. Containers may be ordered by contacting your Bureau Veritas project manager. Please provide a minimum of 48 hours notice for orders to avoid rush container order fees. Containers are organized in sets to minimize errors in the field and to ensure adequate sample volume is provided to the laboratory to conduct the analysis.

To minimize hazardous materials handling, all Bureau Veritas containers are pre-charged with preservative as applicable based on the analysis requested. Preservatives are included in the cost of the container and undergo the same traceability quality assurance as the containers.
