Margate Gallery is proud to present – “Atopy and the Raindog”, a soloexhibition of works by urban Artist Teddy Baden. The exhibition will open on Saturday 13th April and continue daily until Sunday 12th May 2013.

TTeddy is a stencil artist well known for his street paintings of dogs. His work is a celebration of a long standing relationship between humans and their hairy counterparts! Teddy has always marvelled at the scope, appearance and character of these hairy aliens who live and sit alongside us.

His street works especially exude a vivacious wit and combination of humour and cynicism… where dogs wear snorkels and spew coloured paint. Recent works resemble quirky oddball fairytales, with vibrant colours llayered onto vintage wooden crates and salvaged board, juxtaposing emblematic slogans and sweet shop pop on torn edge Indian khadi cotton. Expect an injection of eye candy and playful homage to the dog.

Teddy is available for Pet Portrait (dogs only) commissions and all bookings are to be made via the Margate Gallery. For this exhibition Teddy will be stencilling an artwork in a surprise location in Margate Old Town.
