Things that I did to get my primary research was survey that I created on monkey survey. I also did an interview with a Kerrang fan.

Positives:

- You can tailor your research to get the information you need

- You can ask additional questions during interviews

Negatives:

- It can take a long time to set-up, gather and collate information

- Finding reliable respondents can be difficult

Kerrang audience profile:

Kerrang reader profiles tend have more males reading than females. Kerrang readers tend to be young people because it’s a rock magazine and older people tend to prefer classical or pleasant calm music.http://magazines.bauermediaadvertising.com/magazines/detail/kerrang

Most readers are 35+ years old. Most readers are men. Classic rock audience are very loyal to classic rock magazine. Classic rock readers are prepared to pay for good quality music.

Metal hammer audience profile:

The average age of metal hammer readers is 22. over half of them are studying. 85% of readers spend and average of 3 hours reading metal hammer magazines. Metal hammer readers and young readers because metal is not calm music.

There is more male than female readers in NME’s reader profile. There readers are young. Just less than half or them are students. There keen interests are mobiles, music and films and have a very strong bond with NME

MOJO audience profile:

MOJO magazine have more male readers than female. Young and middle age people seemed to like MOJO.
