The majority of the people who took the survey were female. This being said my magazine is going to be aimed at females, by using different female aspects to my magazine such as using colours like pink and purple and using feminine fonts.I could also include various articles about fashion as most women are interested in fashion.
Most of the people who filled in the survey were between the ages 16 and 25. This may be because the survey was shared on facebook and the majority of people on facebook are between them ages. This helps me come to the conclusion my magazine will be targeted to people between the ages of 16 to 25.
The majority of the people who took the survey said their favourite genre of music was pop. Some of the answers in the ‘other’ box consisted of indie and a mixture of different genres.Therefor my magazine will be based on pop music, but could include other genres as well.
The most popular answer to this question was spotify which is free to listen to music on shuffle otherwise you have to pay £9.99 per month. The 'other' box contained answers such as deezer which is very similar to spotify.
The majority of the people said they would never buy a music magazine. I believe this is because most of the people who took the survey are between 16 and 25 and aren't all that interested in reading or can just find the information online.
Most people who took the survey either chose under £2 or between £2 and £5, So I have decided my magazine will cost £2.
The answers to this question were very varied, so I will make sure to contain all of these aspects in my magazine.
By the responses received on the survey its clear that the main reason people read music magazines is for entertainment. So I will make sure to keep my magazine entertaining to keep the readers interested.
More than 70% of the people who took the survey said they prefer a printed edition rather than it being online. This may be as people prefer to have something in their hands and turn pages or see the entire piece in one glance.
