Join fellow parishioners on Fridays at 3:00 pm in the church

praying the rosary. It has been called the most

powerful prayer of these times.

Were you baptized in the Catholic Church but did not receive First Communion

or Confirmation? Have you been curious about what the process is as an adult?

RCIA is for you!

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is extended, without obligation, to any interested adult.

The RCIA process, which begins in the fall, is a process that invites people whose journey of faith has led them to learn about the Catholic Church’s beliefs and practices. Who else should come?

¨ ¨ Persons not baptized, interested in the Catholic Church

¨ ¨ Persons baptized in a different religion who would like to become Catholic

¨ ¨ Persons baptized Catholic who would like to know more about their faith.

Please call the Parish Office at 669-7444 or email - [email protected] for more information.

PRAY FOR THOSE WHO PROTECT OUR

FREEDOM AND LIBERTIES….

Chris Danieli 1st Lt., Shaw AFB. SC Ethan Fraitzl, Coast Guard, Portsmouth, NH

Major Jessie Kaster, Marines Major Raymond Kaster, Marines

Michael J. Pitaro Jr, SSgt, Alaska Air Na-tional Guard

If you have a family member who is currently serving in any branch of the Armed

Forces, we would like to include them in our bulletin so that parishioners can

include them in their prayers. Please call the Parish Office at 669-7444 or

email their information to [email protected]

Help is Needed!

We have 2 elderly parishioners >85 who are in need of some help at their homes, ie: cooking

a meal, laundry, light housework. If you have any questions or available to help them out call the Parish Office at 669-7444.

ARE YOU CALLED TO VOLUNTEER AND BE A CATECHIST? Catechesis, from the Greek word meaning “to echo the teaching” is the Church’s ministry of teaching and passing on our faith. Our vocation as catechists opens us to grow in our own faith. Nothing in life prepares us to be catechists as fully as our life

experience as faith- filled young adults and adults. What are the qualities of an effective catechist?

The desire to grow in and share our faith An awareness of God’s grace and the desire to respond to that grace A commitment to the Church’s liturgical and sacramental life and moral teachings A strength of character built on patience, responsibility, confidence and creativity A generosity of spirit, respect for diversity and a habit of responsibility and inclusion

As catechists, we share our faith with children and accompany them on their faith journey. We guide them in their faith journey by

Teaching them the truths of the Catholic faith Being a model of Christian life Praying with them Calling them to the service of others Giving them opportunities to discuss their learning with us and one another

Consider being a catechist this year at St. Elizabeth Seton.

or Christine Saltzman [email protected]
