Pinnari Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala along with his wife Ms. Kamala Vijayan, celebrated their weddinganniversary at LTPDL1 this month. They were smitten by the picturesque property and its food along with the warmand friendly hospitality extended to them during their stay.

Pinnari belongs to the 21st Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and was selected as the leader of the Left Democratic Front of the Government in May this year.

A. Ravi and Mamta Jogi were attending to guest laundry on two separate occasions respectively. The promptly informed the same to the shift in-charge at the time. Upon verification, the money was returned to their rightful owners. The guests were overwhelmed by this act of the staff. They mentioned the hotel had won their trust and even said it’s not about the money but the intention to return lost money that won their hearts. Ravi and Mamta displayed honesty and dedication towards their work, which Lemon Tree is known for.

From LTHGB Files: A best practice at work

Citrus Café uses printed name tags to identify different dishes at the buffet. These tags are sourced from vendors. The hotel incurs a significant cost almost twice every week on procuring of these tags. Anil from Maintenance, decided to put an end to this problem and came up with a sample of the low cost, eco friendly and reusable slate (see picture below). Post approval from the Management, he created 30 more of the sample in no time. Anil’s creativity and out of the box thinking helped the hotel minimize recurring costs and sets an example for best practices at work.

Anniversary Celebrations for RFHED, LTHWF, LTHCN2 and LTHVD in the month of July. Celebrations included cutting the ceremonial cake and partying in true Lemon Tree style, followed by the visit at old age homes and organizing a lunch for the elderly, distributing gifts and spending quality time.

RFHJP hosted the annual Functional Excellence Program for the Purchase Department. The Purchase managers of all the hotels met and discussed the agenda for the forthcoming year and also celebrated the success of the last year. Variety of activities and fun games were organized to give them a break from work.
