More than News November Thank You God On November 4 we will have the Charge Conference at 3:00pm. Our new District Superintendent,

Rev. Linda Louderback, will be leading this session. With the addition of the Little Lambs ministry

and the Capital funds campaign, we will have several new things to report. God has been good to us this year. We have been moving into new areas of ministry that have been

an outreach of faith. But faith is never static. Life seems to provide opportunities to grow in our de-

pendence upon God for providing for our needs. God is always giving us an opportunity to say

thank you. The Little Lambs Day Care has provided many opportunities to say thank you to many people who

made it possible to open the day care as soon as we did. We thank those who provided leadership in

all the planning and hiring of the staff, planning the work days, and purchasing the equipment. We

thank all of those who did the cleaning, painting, moving the sign, raising the lean-to and doing all

the other work that was needed. We thank the trustees for their work on the day care and their will-

ing support even in the midst of all the other work being done at the church and at the parsonage. We give thanks to all those who were moved by God to support these endeavors with the financial

blessings God had shared with them. May God bless you this coming year with blessings you do

not even know about now. John Wesley had the following formula for finance which has guided many people to an under-

standing of giving under God's guidance. His formula was quite simple: Make all you can; Save all

you can; and Give all you can. Wesley believed we needed to be able and willing to work and make

as much as we can in honest jobs. But he also realized that there were two other parts to a success-

ful family budget. First we need savings to take care of the unexpected emergencies and we need to

give to God for His purposes and will. The bit about “all we can” was Mr. Wesley’s way of saying that our income and our savings and our

giving was done in accordance to God’s will. As Christians we all can consult with God to make a

plan that would be good for us and pleasing to God. So we thank you for giving all you can as you consult God about His will and way for your lives.

We look forward to seeing what God would lay on our hearts to do in the years to come. Your Pastor,

Terry McGuire

Erika Lair My husband and I have been in Anthony for one year, and are so excited to be a part of the community. For the last six years I have been a full time wife and mom to my two kids, Caleb and Ellie. I have a degree in family and consumer sciences from Liberty University and have taken numerous courses in Early Childhood Development. I have a passion for Jesus and because of that, I also have a passion for teaching, training, and loving children. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach kids about Jesus at Little Lambs.

Jessica Gulley I am a homeschooled high school student. My family and I just moved to Anthony a few months ago and we are enjoying being a part of this community. I am so excited to be work-ing at Little Lambs and I can't wait to see how God uses us!!

Frances West-Crenshaw I was born in Syracuse NY and grew up all over as my father was in the Air Force. I have an associate degree in Accounting and a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and Industrial Management. I have one son Jason and one daughter Jessica who live in Wichita with their families, I have five grandchildren. I moved to Anthony from Paradise Kansas. I was working in Natoma Kansas as a para and prior to accepting this position I was working in Wichita as a Special Needs para. I look forward to this wonderful opportunity to share in the development of the children in our care with their spiritual and everyday needs.
