AUSTRALIAN SINGLES REPORT
DJ Khaled’s I’m The One ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne has had another consecutive week of success. Now at #2 from #3, it’s both a new high for the track and Khaled’s career.
While new peaks take place at #3 and #4 for Zedd & Alessia Cara’s Stay and Shawn Mendes’ There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back, respectively, a new set of career highlights takes place at #7. Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s Despacito (Remix) featuring Justin Bieber has officially cracked the Top 10. It’s the first Hot 100 single for both Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, and undeniably the largest Latin crossover hit to make the Hot 100 in quite some time.
Niall Horan closes off the Top 10, with Slow Hands breaking into the bracket at #9 on its second week in the chart.
Another week, another solo debut single from a One Direction member. Liam Payne has finally dropped Strip That Down, featuring Quavo (who has now appeared on four A-list tracks in the last year if you include his appearances with Migos). Hyped all week, it’s a shoo-in for Most Added – all the 1D solo efforts have been – and will make for a really tough week for anyone going up against the track.
That someone is Selena Gomez whose new single will see quite a bit of success despite the competition; Bad Liar got David Byrne’s stamp of approval for its Talking Heads-aping bassline.
Miley Cyrus’ first single in some time has predictably smashed it at radio last week. Easily taking most added with 78 additions across every major network and commercial station, there was no stopping Malibu.
Nat Conway made the most of a big add on Ash London Live, making for the last big round of additions in a week full of playlist shifts.

That’s all it takes for beloved Sydney band The Preatures to announce their return with the release of Girlhood the first official single from their yet-to-be-titled forthcoming second album. The song deals with the contradictions of modern womanhood while paying homage to the Divinyls, the Pretenders and the Angels
Premiering the single on triple j Breakfast, The Preatures also announced on-air a special performance at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid LIVE which will see the band debut new material from their forthcoming album.

The Trending & Predictive Charts are still DJ Khaled’s domain this week with I’m The One ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne to both Spotify Viral and Shazam Future Hits chart. He’s ceded the Shazam Movers chart, however, with Jonas Blue’s Mama taking the crowd (or key) this time around. Miley’s new Malibu just misses out at #2.
Who you callin’ broke? After making a name for himself with his Broke Boi single and features with A$AP Mob, rapper Playboi Carti fully introduced himself a few weeks ago with his long-awaited debut mixtape. The self-titled project has helped Carti see a significant lift in artist station adds – nearly 350% month-on-month – allowing him to slide into first place.
He’s also seen a 1,000% month-on-month increase in track station adds, a 129.92% lift in Instagram followers and a 200% increase in Twitter mentions. The top-performing track so far off Playboi Carti is Wokeuplikethis*, which features Lil Uzi Vert and saw lift of mroe than 75% in spins week-on-week.

Dean Lewis has made himself known on the Australian and Alternative charts. Although he’s been topping the Hot 100 Australian chart for weeks with debut single Waves, he’s now cracked #1 on the Hot 100 Alternative chart with follow-up Need You Now.
Lewis has had a stellar run these past few months. On top of the aforementioned #1s, Lewis has also had a stab at the Hot 100 and ventured as high as #16, peaking last week.
The Jungle Giants’ latest hit On Your Way Down has debuted at #6 on Hot 100 Alternative chart, followed by an entry at #10 from Winston Surfshirt with Ali D.
