scholars for up gradation of knowledge and skills in the
area of Automation and Robotics.
Target Audience
Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), is a
premier institution for engineering education afliated to
Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. The college is
recognized as one of the leading engineering institutions
in the state of U.P and is the recipient of Academic
Excellence Award for Best Engineering College in UPTU
by H.E the Governor of U.P for two successive years. The
college is also recipient of award for “Best Industry
Interface” from the Hon'ble Minister of Science &
Technology, Government of U.P.
About AKGEC
Centre of Relevance & Excellence (CORE) in Automation
& Robotics is established at AKGEC with support from
Dept. of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India. The
main objective of the centre is to provide world class
training and applied research in the eld of Automation
& Robotics. This is the rst centre of its kind in the country
focused on Automation & Robotics. The CORE is being established at AKGEC with support
from Industry Partners known as technology leaders in
their respective domain:
This FDP aims to bring together teachers, engineers and
research scholars to exchange and share their
experience and research results about recent advances
in the eld of Automation and Robotics.
The Program will also encourage faculty to formulate
their long term research goals in this eld of Automation
& Robotics and motivate students to develop required
technical competency to become globally employable.
The Program:
The recent advancement in manufacturing facilities and
increasing demand for higher plant productivity has
made the Industrial Automation and Robotics as an
emerging eld for students, teachers and researchers.
Industrial Automation & Robotics is the multidisciplinary
eld, that is involved in the process of designing,
creation and maintenance of robots, programming of
logic controllers and design of pneumatic & hydraulic
circuits which includes electronics, mechanical and
computer science engineering whose blend is called
Automation & Robotics.
Industrial Automation and Robotics:
