Volume 3 November 2014 MESSAGE FROM ALLISON VYFHUIS CADEIRA President of AVC Foundation Inc. My Dear Friends and Family, It is with great pleasure I write my message and share with you the highlights of AVC Foundation for the year of 2014. This was a challenging year for us in many respects and I am pleased to say that because of you we were able to be like cream rise to the top! We have succeeded in our fundraising goals. We have addressed and represented many of the needs brought to our attention. We have from beginning to end been of service to those in need. AVC’s main fundraising event on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014, held at the Caldeira Ranch was a huge success. The weather was perfect, the music delightful. It is said, that this Event is a re- minder of the Fernandes Bar-b-Que’s back in the day. DJ Get Busy played his hearts out. Rich- ard Lewis and the Gems had people shaking a leg . Raymond Lee-Own and Tripple play stole the night. The food was excellent - Yes, there were fish cakes!!! The decorations fashioned by Leslie Walker and Judy Ramallo were a spectacularly display of talent. It was such a huge turn out - ac- tually we ended up cooking more curry that very night — in true Guyanese custom! I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Judy and Terrence Ramallo who worked contin- uously and unconditionally to make this event a huge success once again. I want to recognize DJ Get Busy and Cletus’ band for the generous donation of their time and talent for this fundraiser event. Last but not least, I want to express my appreciation to Debby Blonte for her dedication and wiliness to give of her time and energy by solicitation donations for the desert table at this event. A very special thank you to Maureen Rego who carried the torch for the AVC Shoe Box drive at a time when I most needed her intervention. Warm Wishes always, Allison Registration #1871018

MESSAGE FROM ALLISON VYFHUIS CADEIRA

President of AVC Foundation Inc.

My Dear Friends and Family,

It is with great pleasure I write my message and share with you the

highlights of AVC Foundation for the year of 2014.

This was a challenging year for us in many respects and I am

pleased to say that because of you we were able to be like cream

rise to the top!

We have succeeded in our fundraising goals.

We have addressed and represented many of the needs brought to our attention.

We have from beginning to end been of service to those in need.

AVC’s main fundraising event on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014, held at the Caldeira Ranch was a

huge success. The weather was perfect, the music delightful. It is said, that this Event is a re-

minder of the Fernandes Bar-b-Que’s back in the day. DJ Get Busy played his hearts out. Rich-

ard Lewis and the Gems had people shaking a leg . Raymond Lee-Own and Tripple play stole the

night. The food was excellent - Yes, there were fish cakes!!! The decorations fashioned by Leslie

Walker and Judy Ramallo were a spectacularly display of talent. It was such a huge turn out - ac-

tually we ended up cooking more curry that very night — in true Guyanese custom!

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Judy and Terrence Ramallo who worked contin-

uously and unconditionally to make this event a huge success once again. I want to recognize DJ

Get Busy and Cletus’ band for the generous donation of their time and talent for this fundraiser

event. Last but not least, I want to express my appreciation to Debby Blonte for her dedication

and wiliness to give of her time and energy by solicitation donations for the desert table at this

event.

A very special thank you to Maureen Rego who carried the torch for the AVC Shoe Box drive at a

time when I most needed her intervention.

Warm Wishes always,

Allison
