An important foundation of Lean Six Sigmamethodology is the concept of waste anddefect elimination. Lean Six Sigma definesa defect in terms of meeting thespecifications, expectations andrequirements of the customer. What is adefect with regard to the executive searchprocess? Presenting unqualifiedcandidates, candidates with missing skillsets and candidates who don’t fit thecorporate culture and chemistry of the clientare just some examples of waste anddefects that can result from a poor searchprocess.

At The Avery Point Group we practice whatwe preach when it comes to Lean SixSigma. Our experience has shown us theimportance of incorporating the voice of theclient (VOC) at each critical phase in thevalue stream placement process.
