ABOUT THE PROGRAM The interdisciplinary nature of this program provides a range of theoretical and practical knowledge. A focus on professional, hands-on experiences expands that knowledge. Students develop multicultural competencies to better understand the opportunities and risks within the cyber domain, and to comprehend the security implications of a globalized economy. Program majors learn to defend against, respond to, and recover from data breaches and cyberattacks. Employing their creative problem-solving and practical skills, graduates are prepared to work on technology innovation teams exploring problems in wide array of industries, identifying opportunities, and developing strategies to deliver solutions. ACCESS THE WORLD Internships, study abroad, and co-curricular opportunities The Cybersecurity Management major requires one internship and encourages students to participate in others. Students apply what they’ve learned to real-world challenges, building their confidence as well as their resumes, and develop skills that can be directly applied in the workplace. Students have the opportunity to become members of the Gaming League, Division of Business Student Association (DOBSA), and the Model United Nations Team. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in various study abroad opportunities ranging from faculty-led, weeklong study tours to entire semesters spent at a university abroad. CAREERS Graduates are prepared for jobs as data security professionals and technology innovators. Cybersecurity Management majors can pursue the following positions, in addition to many others: • Cyber Incident Responders • Ethical Hackers • Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) • Network Security Specialists • Vulnerability Assessors • Information Security Analysts • Electronic Forensics Investigators
