Golfing in Germany’s best-kept golfers’ secret!

Dorint Maison Messmer

Nestled in the heart of the Black Forest’s spa retreat of Baden-Baden, the five-star Dorint Maison Messmer became the region’s first member of IAGTO, to meet the growing interest of golfers who wish to enjoy a well-balanced stay, including golf, relaxation and culture. With Europe’s second biggest Opera House, the famous Caracalla Thermal Springs, the Faberge Museum and many more attractions all in walking distance, the property boasts 152 well-appointed rooms and suites (regionally, the biggest rooms inventory) designed to make you feel at home and give you the most comfort.

Take your time and relish the delights of our three restaurants and bars. Enjoy the casual atmosphere of the rustic and cosy Theaterkeller Restaurant, serving delicious and authentic Baden-Alsace cuisine – also on an amazing outside terrace – or indulge in the true fine-dining ambiance at the JB Messmer Restaurant, surpassing even the connoisseur’s expectations.

While the Fireside Bar entices you and your friends to linger in the evenings, reviewing your daily highlights together, the Smoker’s Lounge welcomes cigar aficionados to enjoy their pleasures; be sure we have the very best for you! And what can be better than a relaxing massage or swim at the Royal Spa after golf?

Golfing in Baden-Baden

Our exclusive IAGTO partner – the Bernhard Langer-designed Golf Club Soufflenheim – offers you world-class golfing. To make your choice even more complete, another three, classy golf courses are nearby: the Golf Club Baden-Baden, Baden Hills Golf and Curling Club and the GC Kempferhof. Discounts are available on group tees, if stays are arranged via the hotel.

Soufflenheim Golf Course

Right at the heart of Europe and Alsace, world-class golfer Bernhard Langer has created a golfing paradise a mere 25 minutes from Baden-Baden and Strasbourg, in peaceful, enchanting natural forest surroundings – far away from all the hustle and bustle.

This is the ultimate golf course, with 33 greens and 18 lakes that lie harmoniously nestled in the serene water meadow landscape of the Upper Rhine, surrounded by delightfully-peaceful natural scenery.

Soufflenheim Golf Club offers the opportunity to experience a natural environment that will fascinate all golfers equally – both ambitious sports-minded tournament players and beginners.

Langer fitted the courses into the wonderful landscape so expertly that a game of golf is a relaxing experience and players return to the clubhouse with a sense of satisfaction, no matter what their scorecard reads. In addition to the spectacular 18-hole championship course, members and guests have the choice between an attractive nine-hole course and a six-hole short course as well as luxurious practice facilities, all located within the 140-hectare (346-acre) site.

The perfect combination of six-hole short course, nine-hole course and 18-hole championship courses has meant Soufflenheim has become home to many golfers from the Baden and Alsace regions. Covering an area of over 1,200 square metres, the elegant, spacious clubhouse is an ideal place to come and relax as you enjoy Alsatian delicacies and the magnificent views of the course after a round.

Relax with outstanding French cuisine on our sundeck which offers a fantastic view of the 16th green. Is there anything better on a sunny day enjoying a cool glass of French wine with like-minded people on the terrace after a relaxing round of golf?

The readers of Germany’s Golf Journal did not vote the Soufflenheim Baden-Baden Golf Club eighth in Europe in their Travel Awards 2012 for nothing.

Come and see for yourself. We look forward to seeing you in Soufflenheim!
