OIL & GAS:

Re-evaluating the Powerful Role of Field Instrumentation

The Oil and Gas sector is one of the most competitive in the global economy and relies on SMAR (Our

Principal) as an important supplier of equipment and services in major oil producing regions. Emphasis

is currently on the Middle East and India as the world’s major petroleum and natural gas producer and

exporter. To successfully penetrate this market, SMAR was required to comply with strict international

oil industry standards concerning flow and level storage measurement.

ENERGY:

The generation of electricity is a basic human activity since

it is directly related to the primary needs of man. It is

obtained mainly through Thermoelectric, Hydroelectric

plants, Wind farms and Nuclear power plants.

Electricity generation is the first process in the delivery of

electricity to consumers. Other three processes are

transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. The turbines

can be powered using steam, water, wind, fossil fuels,

nuclear reactors, and the gravitational potential energy

from hydroelectric dams.

Our Principal SMAR has a strong presence among firms

generating electricity act in the control of boilers (biomass, cogeneration and industrial) or monitoring

and automation control in the turbines. We offer complete and integrated solutions for the Energy

segment, developing effective controls, ensuring the power supply to the plant with high reliability

systems for the supply and sale of cogeneration of electricity.


PHARMACEUTICAL:

Like any industry, the pharmaceutical search results,

improvement of process, cost reduction and operational

excellence. For both the intelligent use of information is

indispensable in order to identify opportunities for process

improvement.

Our Principal SMAR through SYSTEM302 and its architecture-

based networks, with very different industrial protocols,

Smart instrumentation, Asset management, allows for easy

integration with the various control units. Furthermore, the

SYSTEM302 provides visibility from the factory floor to the

enterprise level solutions opened, easy integration with

DCSs, PLCs and instrumentation. As solutions we have high robustness, high availability, with different

levels of redundancy and high performance instrumentation.

SUGAR:

We have maintained a close relationship with the

many sugar and alcohol production facilities and have

many development solutions to address this

market. Over the years with ongoing R&D in this field

we have gained a powerful presence in this most

prominent production activity. The company’s

pioneering role in the agro-industrial business gave

considerable insight to the need for innovative and

leading edge technology to support the Indian

industry. SMAR became the first company in their

country to completely automate a sugar mill thus

ensuring precision throughout the demanding

production process.

ETHANOL:

Currently, more than 90% of the local sugar ethanol mills and distilleries in Brazil utilize SMAR
