    ABSTRACT

    VARIABLE POWER SUPPLY:

    A Variable DC Power Supply is a device that supplies electric supply to

    an load and, allows the user to vary or change the DC output voltage

    within the specified voltage ranges.

    UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY:

    An uninterruptible power supply is also known as UPS or battery thatprovides emergency power to a load. when the input power source, fail

    automatically connected to battery.

    OBJECTIVE

    VARIABLE POWER SUPPLY:

    To design and fabricate a 0-12 volt,1A variable power supply for various

    domestic applications at low cost and high reliability

    UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY:

    The main objective to design a UPS is to supply continuous undisturbed

    and conditioned power to the critical load that energy for powering theload comes from the utility, or from the battery upon mains outage.

    INTRODUCTION

    VARIABLE POWER SUPPLY:

    This 0- to 12-Vdc variable power supply uses an IC voltage regulator and a heavy

    duty transformer to provide a reliable dc power supply.

    RECTIFIER:

    The rectifier circuit is the heart of the power supply. Its function is to

    convert the incoming AC voltage to a DC voltage.

    A voltage regulator is an electrical regulator designed to automatically

    maintain to a constant voltage level.

    FILTER:

    The smoothing capacitor convert the full-wave rippled Output of the

    rectifier into a smooth DC output voltage.

    CONCLUSION

    VARIABLE POWER SUPPLY:

    A (0-12v) variable dc power supply is designed by assembling the

    required components and thus it is used for varies application. By

    making simple alteration and adding few components in this

    circuit we attain various fixed voltage.

    UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY:

    Now a days as the electronic appliances are so costly, any damage

    to it due to the sudden failure in the power supply cannot be

    permitted.
