BATHURST GOLDCROWN CARNIVAL2020PROGRAM OFEVENTS Tuesday 24th March Beer and Food Tour (Option 1) Here’s a great day out for those who love their food and enjoy a good brewery tour.We start the day by visiting one of the region’s most popular family ownedmicro-breweries; the 1859 Brewery just outside Bathurst. You’ll see the brewingequipment used today that came from an old English Pub. Hear their story andtaste why their local beer is so highly regarded.    Next stop on the tour is one of the region’s largest family owned breweries; PioneerBrewing. You’ll be tasting the full range of 10+ beers and learn about theirunique methods of beer manufacturing. You’ll marvel at the acres of StainlessSteel, set in a great county location, miles away from civilisation.From here, you’ll enjoy lunch at the Agrestic Grocer in Orange. A fantastic littlecafé set in an old apple packing shed. It’s rustic appeal will captivate you.The food will amaze you.Straight after lunch, we venture into the family owned Badlands Brewery adjoining yourlunch stop for your final beer tasting of the day.It’s a great day and you’ll have the opportunity to buy beer from the brewery ateach stop. Timing    ·        9:00am Depart Bathurst·        1:30pm: Lunch (own expense)·        4:30pm: Arrive back in Bathurst Tour Cost$99 per person (limit 20seats)

Tuesday 24th March Fine Wine and Food Tour ( Option 2) If wine is your preference, let us take you on a journey of discovery to some ofthe Orange Wines regions most special family owned wineries. We’re talkingaward winning wines only available at the Cellar Door. Wines that have takenyears to cellar correctly and are ready for you now. We’re talking wine thatyou’ll remember for a lifetime because of the taste, the expertise and theatmosphere of the cellar doors we visit.    We start the day with a quick stop at Bee Keepers Inn for a coffee and cake (atown expense). You can even taste their range of local honey, all set up in a160 year old road side inn.  Next stop is a short drive to the first beautiful boutique winery. You’ll meet thewine maker and sample his beautiful wines in the midst of the beautiful familyhome.Just a few minutes’ drive up the road we visit our second winery; one of Orange’slargest family owned wineries established in 1946. With an enormous range ofnew and aged wines, you’ll taste variety not seen before.Next stop is lunch at the Lord Anson Public House in Orange CBD. It’s a great oldpub that has reinvented itself and presents beautiful food in a great relaxed atmosphere.  Our final winery is a very special one indeed. Set at 1000m above sea level it isalmost the highest of any wineries in the area and indeed makes some of theregion’s most outstanding wines. BATHURST GOLDCROWN CARNIVAL2020PROGRAM OFEVENTS THURSDAY 26TH MARCH JENOLAN CAVES TOUR (Option 2) Whilst visiting Bathurstfor the Gold Crown, you might like to enjoy a leisurely scenic country drive inour Charter bus to Jenolan Caves. It’s a wonderful ancient Caves system withthe grand Caves House built in 1898. You’ll enjoy great commentary along theway learning about the local history of the Bathurst, Oberon and Jenolan areasand once at the Caves, you have free time to see and do what you want. Maybe acave tour, or sit in the coffee lounge, explore the blue lake or have a speciallunch in the grand upstairs dining room.
