Providing Growth for the Future
T hank You!
The Brockville and District Hospital Foundation is humbled by the
generosity of our donors and the community we serve in support of the
Brockville General Hospital and the historic Phase II Redevelopment Project.
We would like to thank the donors on this Wall of Gratitude for their
contributions to the Under One Roof Campaign. The completion of this
project would not have been possible without their extreme generosity.
UNDER ONE ROOF CAMPAIGN
In February of 2018, planning began for the capital campaign Under One Roof in support of the
Brockville General Hospital’s Phase II Redevelopment Project. Co-chairs David Beatty and
Mary Jean McFall established a cabinet which included individuals associated with the
Brockville and District Hospital Foundation (BDHF), the Brockville General Hospital (BGH)
and from the community.
With the generous support of the project by theProvince of Ontario, the task at hand for the cabinet
was to raise the community share of the project’s$20 million. The cabinet took a municipal and
internal approach.
With the generosity of all stakeholders, our goal was surpassed.
VISIONARY $1,000,000+
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville were unanimous in their decision to support the local
share of the Under One Roof Campaign.
Their donation of $2.125 million allows for continued quality healthcare in our region,
now and into the future.
The City of Brockville made the largest donation of $4.76 million to the Under One Roof Campaign.
Our sincere gratitude to the City of Brockville and residents for their tremendous support in helping
us achieve our goal. The future of quality healthcare in our region is assured.
VISIONARY $1,000,000+
David and Anne Beatty and FamilyDavid, Anne and their family are pillars of the
community and led the philanthropic charge ofsupporting the Brockville General Hospital.
The Under One Roof Campaign’s success was due to David’s leadership as Co-Chair but also because
of his, Anne’s and their families’ personal commitment to the cause.
Donald B. GreenDonald B. Green was a generous philanthropist, devoted
husband, loving father and successful businessman. Words can never adequately describe this wonderful man
whose business sense, kind heart and leadership are legendary. He always enjoyed jumping into ventures and
mentored numerous companies along the way taking great pride in the success of others and was always humble about his contribution. Don was acutely aware that his successes in
life were a gift. In 2002, together with his wife Shirley, he created the Don and Shirley Green Family Charitable
Foundation ensuring his generosity would continue for generations in Brockville and around the world.
On September 29, 2016 we said goodbye to this incredible man. The Don & Shirley Green Family Charitable
Foundation’s $2 million donation to this tower, is dedicated to him as a lasting reminder that one man can truly make a
dierence in the world.
