“I’ve been at CYFS for almost 4 years! I’m a trooper! CYFS has taught me a lot about myself and about life, and about how you can do and be anything you put your mind to. Your past doesn’t always define you. I see myself finishing high school and going to college to help kids or adults with disabilities. That’s my hope and dream to help people because they’ve helped me out in my life growing up!”
“I want to have a successful life and stay out of trouble. I imagine myself working with youth in jail and helping them turn things around. I want to be a good person that people can look up to and learn from. I’ve had a lot of

bad things happen in my life, and I want people to look at what I’m doing now, not judge me by my past.”
“I want to get my diploma, go to college, and have a job working with animals. What’s exciting about my future is that it might actually come true! Where I was before, I didn’t think about what I’d do in the future. Now, I’m thinking about a lot of different possibilities like art, carving, sculpting, and working with reptiles at a zoo.”
