Goal: Lower water and electricity usage in the dorms

Measure previous water and energy usage from past months

Competition between the dorms over who can get the greatest decrease in usage of both

We announced the competition at a school meeting, explaining that the dorm who was able to reduce their water and energy use the most would earn a pizza party for the entire time.

Reducing Water Consumption

● Make sure the faucet is

completely turned off before

leaving the bathroom

● When brushing your teeth,

don’t leave the water running

the entire time

● Shorter showers

Turn the lights off● Reduce energy

consumption by turning the lights off when you’re not in the room

● Turn off TV’s and other electronics if they’re not in use

● Unplug items whenever you can when they’re not in use

Results

Overall 5% energy reduction throughout the entire school

Godman Dorm had highest reduction → 10%Announcing winner at all school meetingGodman will earn a pizza party
