The silver sleeve at the new folding hinge has to be re­placed against a black clamp. Please read the following instructions for the replacement.

Disassembly

1. Remove both bolts M4 at the left and right side of excenter. Remove the cap.

2. Remove nut with a 8mm wrench. Hold the tension rod with a 2.5mm allen key while loosening the nut (insert the allen key into the tension rod, see arrow).

4. Open the lever and loosen the two bolts M4x16 by a half turn. Then pull off the lever.

5. Push the excenter to the right side (use a plastic hammer). Then loosen the grub screw at the bolt (2mm allen key, one turn is enough).

6. Pull of the bolt at the right side.

7. Push out the excenter to the left side.ATTENTION: The stem is loose now and could fall down. Take care of the washers A (see arrows).

8. Take out tension rod and cone. Disassemble tension rod, cone and sleeve.

Assembly1. Grease the exzenter and insert it into the left side

of the folding hinge. Do not forget the washers A!

2. Insert the greased bolt from the right side and assemble the right bolt M4 incl. the small washer. Do not forget the washer A.Hold the excenter while tightening the bolt M4 (just put the lever onto the left side of the excenter).

3. Push the excenter to the right side again until the grub screw is accessible. Tighten the grub screw as much as possible (1 Nm tightening torque). Then tighten the right bolt M4 again.

4. Push the excenter to the left side and turn the flat section facing to the top.

5. Assemble the lever including the washer. Assemble the cap. Important: secure the left bolt M4 by a drop of Loc­tite medium threadlocker.

6. Adjust the axial play of the excenter by turning the left bolt M4. Do not tighten the bolt to much be­cause the lever will be hard to move.

8. Put the black clamp onto the tension rod.

9. Turn the cone three times on the tension rod. Insert both into the open folding hinge. Attention: the short side of the cone has to face up.

10. Close the folding hinge. Apply some Loctite medium threadlocker at the bolt M4x12 and assemble it at the black clamp (tightening torque 1 – 2 Nm).

11. Close the lever and tighten the tension rod counter­clockwise (2.5mm allen key) until tension rises.

12. Adjust the pressure point of the lever. The lever should have its maximum force shortly before rea­ching the end point (see picture below). Turning the bolts in direction of the white arrows changes to earlier pressure point. Turning the bolts in direction of the black arrows changes to later pressure point.

13. After adjusting the pressure point, the bolts M4x16 have to be tightened.

14. Assemble nut and washer. Hold the tension rod and tighten the nut at the same time.

15. Check the tension of the cone and eventually adjust the tension rod again.
