Life Skill Week:
The week saw a variety of events and activities that provided a practical approach to the teaching of
life skills. The activities included Mock Market, movie on Problem Solving, importance of Glow
Words for effective communication, Circle Time Activities on self awareness and creative thinking
skills.
Independence Day Celebration:
Independence Day was celebrated with great
fervour and zeal. The students learnt the Na-
tional Symbols vide PPT , worksheet and craft
work.
Rakshabandhan Celebrations: The students
watched movie clips related to Rakshabandhan and also
made beautiful rakhis using craft material.
Splash of Colours
An Art Competition—Splash of Colours was held on the top-
ics ‘My favourite Toy’ for class I and ‘Fun with friends’ for
class II.
Story Session– The students attended an interactive story
session with author and story teller Ms. Zeeny Jhelumi
National Sports Day:

tional Sports Day various fun races were organised for the
students of classes I and II.
Classes I & II
Special Assembly—Truth Always Triumphs
A special assembly was showcased vide a short skit by classes I A and II G. The assembly brought forth the
importance of always being honest and truthful.
Wall Journal– Our National Symbols
To instill a sense of pride and patriotism towards our country, cut outs of various National Symbols of India
were put up on the wall journal by classes I A and II G
Beyond The Text
Poem recitation : The children recited Hindi and English poems using suitable props.
The students of class II learnt about the water cycle vide a craft activity.
The grandparents were invited to share their childhood experiences and narrated stories related to
Janmashtami.
Activities:
The students of class III made rakhis on the occasion of Rakshabandhan to
show their love for their siblings.
Hindi Days:
Classes III, IV & V observed Hindi Days wherein the students recited
speeches of famous freedom fighters, dohas of famous poets and also took
part in a debate.
Inter House Hindi Quiz was also a part of the Hindi Day activities. The win-
ning house was Aravali in the first position followed by Annapurna in the
second and Nilgiri & Dhaulagiri in the third place.
A Talent Show was organised for the students of classes III, IV & V. The students participat-
ed enthusiastically in mimicry, flower arrangement, art, craft ,dance ( Indian & western) and music
( instrumental & vocal).

Classes III –V
Independence Day:
The 73rd Independence Day was observed with fervour
and patriotism. The flag hoisting ceremony was fol-
lowed by the National Anthem. Patriotic songs and po-
em recitation by the students made the occasion a mem-
orable one.
Under the guidelines of the Directorate of Education ,
the students of classes I –V were given deworming ta-
bles on National Mass Deworming Day –16th August.
To commemorate the hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary on 29th August also
observed as the National Sports Day, the students played a football match.
Mr. Deepak Dalal, a famous author of children’s books interacted with the students during ‘Author
Meet’. He also autographed books penned by him.
Special assembly: The students of class IV C put up a special assembly on the topic
‘Independent India’. The assembly showcased the growth and development of India since inde-
pendence.
Workshops:
Students:
A live art workshop on hand printing was conducted for the students of Nursery and KG by contempo-
rary artist, Mr. Joyattam Dutta Roy.
Parents:
A workshop for the parents of classes III –V on ‘Good Parenting’ was taken by the Junior School
Counselor Ms. Priyanks Tamuly and the Special Educator Ms. Akshi Arora.
Teachers:
‘Articulate’ a workshop on the importance of art in education was conducted by Ms. Saloni
Sheikh and Ms. Kaveri Raj for the staff.
An informative and enlightening workshop on the legalities and repercussions of Corporal Pun-
ishment by Advocate Rajesh Yadav was held for the teachers.
