Blessed Anne Jahouvey
• Kind and merciful girl
• Lives in Jallanges, France
• She was a daughter of a rich farmer.
• A very Religious girl so she entered several religious convents.
• She wanted to educate the poor.
• 1800 – she had a dream of black children so she decided to answer their needs through her vocation.
• She and 8 other young women were given the veil in Autun, France in 1807
• The Congregation of Saint Joseph of Cluny was founded.
• She spends her time providing houses in Europe, South America, and Africa.
• In French Guyana, she educate 600 slaves.
• Founded houses in Tahiti and Madagascar to help poor people.
• She died on July 15, 1851 in Paris, France
