A letter from the Pastor My dear People at Blessed Seelos Parish: Once Blessed Pope Paul VI asked his secretary which one was the most difficult parable of Jesus to understand. His good secretary in a very respectful tone turned the question around asking the Pope which one did he think. Obviously, the Pope had an answer ready and that is why he asked the question to begin with. Smart secretary! The Pope answered: “I believe it is the one about the wheat and the weeds.” That is the parable in today’s Gospel. It is the continuation from last week’s Gospel but with a slight twist. It is still about a sower, but this time the sower is not from God and bad things begin to happen. But God is patient and does not allow the laborers to pull out the weeds since they may also pull out the wheat. This is the mystery of the world with good and evil coexisting and God showing His incredible patience because he wants all to be saved. Give thanks to God today for the patience He has with you and with all of us! Dicen que una vez el Beato Papa Pablo VI le preguntó a su secretario cual era la parábola de Jesús más difícil de entender. Su buen secretario en una manera muy respetuosa le devolvió la pregunta. Obviamente el Papa ya tenía una respuesta preparada y por eso había hecho la pre-gunta. ¡Muy inteligente el secretario! El Papa contestó: “Yo creo que es la del trigo y la cizaña.” Esa es la parábola del evangelio de hoy. Es la continuación del evangelio de la semana pasada, pero con un pequeño cambio. Todavía nos habla de un sembrador, pero esta vez el sembrador no viene de Dios y cosas malas empiezan a suceder. Pero Dios es paciente y no permite que los trabajadores arranquen la cizaña porque podían también arrancar accidentalmente el trigo. Este es el misterio del mundo con el bien y el mal coexistiendo y Dios mostrando su increíble paciencia porque quiere que todos se salven. ¡Dele gracias a Dios hoy por la paciencia que ha tenido con usted y con todos! and they accept God in the honor of humiliation. Trust Him, and He, in turn, will take care of you,
